![]() business opportunities...
A strange phenomenon has been happening. I was in the bookstore yesterday, and I was approached by 4 separate individuals. They were all PROMOTING the same Multilevel opportunity! (Quixtar) It was very amusing, considering the last 3 times I was in the bookstore, I was approached by 3 different individuals as well. I really liked some of the openers: "Hey haven't we met before?" (NO!) "Hey what type of business are you in?" "Are you open for an opportunity?" I figure I could probably CHARGE advertising space on my Jacket, front and back. Heck I can even where a baseball cap and charge for space on it! Any takers?? :-> Duane P.S Has anybody else been approached, or this something that is just happening here in Toronto? |

![]() Hi Duane!
I think you're not the only one! Here's a news story I just came across.... :) Lincoln, Nebraska-AP -- Call it ab-vertising. A Nebraska graphic arts firm is unveiling its latest advertising concept today -- selling advertising space on cheerleaders' bare midriffs. The demonstration will take place at an arena football game between the Lincoln Lightning and the Iowa Barnstormers. The Lightning High Voltage dancers will be sporting temporary tattoos on a two-by-three-inch area between the navel and hip. Each tattoo has the team logo and room for a sponsor. Marty Hager of Graphics Plus says he came up with the idea for Belly Billboards at a game last year, when he noticed the cheerleaders' uniforms. He figured people were already looking at that space, so why not put some advertising on it. Source of the news story.... |

![]() Hi Dien,
I like the idea of the TEMPORARY TATOO as an innovative way to promote almost anything. Here's an idea: Tiger woods is basically "plastered" with the Nike Logo. I was watching a program, which said that when tiger plays, the ratings Go WAY UP. Now imagine this. There are a thousands of MUSIC VIDEO's with Half CLAD women models. Imagine how much you could charge for a temporary tatoos on them! Ha! Ha! just kiddin! :-> Duane > Hi Duane! > I think you're not the only one! (Quixtar) ****I have seen business cards tucked into books I have purchased, but I have never been approached like that! How did you respond? I wonder what kind of success they are achieving? Velly, velly interesting! Dien mentioned previously my appreciation for the book, "The Tipping Point" by Malcolm Gladwell. Sounds like these networkers were on the hunt for a Maven or two or twelve....very interconnected people who enjoy sharing an excellent find. I am going to be more alert on my next trip to the bookstore......... With Purpose and Passion, JULIE JORDAN SCOTT Dare to Discover Your Passion, Decide to Live Your Destiny! |

![]() Julie --
I wanted to say that the business card in the book can be very effective depending on what kind of business you are in. I used to do that at the libraries bookstores. Very worthwhile depending on your business. -- Dan Butler > Hi Duane! > ****I have seen business cards tucked into > books I have purchased, but I have never > been approached like that! > How did you respond? > I wonder what kind of success they are > achieving? > Velly, velly interesting! > Dien mentioned previously my appreciation > for the book, "The Tipping Point" > by Malcolm Gladwell. I haven't seen this here in Australia yet, but I can see how it could be effective! It would be a very inexpensive way to target people with a specific interest.... Thanks for sharing the idea! :) - Dien |
