We're in a huge era of transformation of accommodation... With AirBnB, the possibilities for temporary accommodation are mind-boggling, and becoming even more so...

That's why this idea seems to be of our time!

The essential idea is to transform shipping containers into livable dwellings - equipped with bathroom, kitchen, dining area, a bedroom, and which can sleep 4 people.

These shipping containers can be placed where you can't place permanent structures. And - because they are shipping containers - they can be moved!

What you have is effectively a movable hotel!



The guy's idea is to move them every few years...

It can cost around $50,000 to $80,000 US dollars to transform a shipping container into what is effectively a small apartment. (And this is in Malaysia / Singapore, so it could be cheaper or more expensive to set up in other places due to different labor costs.)

Very interesting idea, though...!
