![]() Thanks Dien,
I am seeing and reading a Lot of FAKE NEWS around the Wild fires Down Under. Are they REALLY out of Control? Will They burn For Months and Months? Did People or Lightning or EMBERS start so many fires? AND What kind of Policies do you guys have down there that might SLOW THIS kind of thing Down? I have been reading about Wild Fires and Floods for Years now. But this seems A LOT WORSE. Thanks, Glenn From the map I bet Everybody is Smelling SMOKE. |

The fires are pretty big. They're not too close to me (I live in Melbourne), but we do get some smoke occasionally, depending on which way the wind is blowing. It's a lot worse in Sydney, where there are more fires, and where they are closer to the city... I think the maps on this page give an accurate overview... https://www.bbc.com/news/world-australia-50951043 I've read that a lot of people don't realize, Australia is a big place. Its size is roughly the same as the USA's "lower 48". It's the 7th largest country in the world, by land size (USA is bigger partly because of Alaska - Alaska is pretty big). I think we don't realize because most of the interior is desert, so the population is not as large because of that... Sadly, they believe some threatened animals may have become extinct due to the fires... Best wishes, Dien
