About the options you recommended for retirees, just yesterday, an elderly friend sent me an urgent message.

He is due to retire from the civil service February 2022

You want to know why he contacted me? (And maybe some other people on his phone address book)

He is looking for ANOTHER JOB!

A younger version of me would have started pitching him on entrepreneurial/investment ventures he could consider.

Alas, in my experience, I have found that people will only consider certain options when they are in a frame of mind that allows the idea to even show up on their mental radar.

Other than that, you're just wasting both your time and theirs.

Why am I even sharing this?
