Default Last night I danced with Prince Charming!!!

*Sigh* and how remarkable it was!

Standing backstage at the Spotlight Theatre in Downtown Bakersfield, the Seven Dwarfs were doing their world famous dance routine....as the Green Room Mom, I did not know that the rest of the cast backstage did the dance at the same time! And what I really was not prepared for was that PRINCE CHARMING would CHOOSE to dance WITH ME! Will wonders ever cease?!

Actually, sitting here on Sunday night, I am just reminded that by consciously noticing the remarkable in the everyday REALLY has the possibility for awakening us to so much more.

Tonight, my children and I sat down and turned on HGTV. I did not know that the program would TOTALLY fire me up....I had to get up midway and get my idea journal to take notes, that is how inspired I became!

The show was called Homes of Our Heritage and tonight American Inventors were featured. I learned, for example, that Samuel Morse, inventor of the Telegraph and Morse Code was more interested in the EXCHANGE OF KNOWLEDGE than simply exchanging words. My daughter, Katherine, was especially fascinated to learn his passion was for painting...and that inventing was simply the way he paid the bills so he could PAINT! (She said, which I found amusing, "He found more joy in art than science!" which made me think of "How to think like Leonardo Da Vinci", that the balance and blending of Art and Science is where genius lives.....not unlike many of the discussions that take place in this forum. )

All this week, for those of us in the U.S., HGTV will be featuring Homes of Our Heritage including segments on Homes of the American Authors, the Adventurers, the Revolution, and a couple others that I can't remember. I am excited about tomorrow's episode....Homes of the American Heroes!

And next week, I think I will REALLY go out dancing....its been WAY too long and its an activity I REALLY enjoy!

With Purpose and Passion,

JULIE JORDAN SCOTT
