A Plastic Goldmine....

Some people make great money from a plastic which is no longer manufactured. Bakelite was the first man-made thermoplastic.... It used to be common in many appliances from the 1920s to the 1950s.

What some people do is get old bakelite, and recycle it into jewelry and other items....

For example, take the husband and wife team of Ron and Esther Schultz. They started making Bakelite pins from old buttons in 1990....

There's a potential opportunity here for those who like crafting things, by making simple quality jewelry -- pins, earrings necklaces, bracelets -- from recycled bakelite.
