![]() Does anyone know what types of links are needed in order for a search engine to pick up on them ?
Search Engines rank a site based partially on "link popularity". I recently tested my site using netscape's website garage and it came back saying that it couldn't find any links to my site. In actuality, I have many links to my site from other websites. Does a link back to your website have to be in text format (eg. http://www.golfrevelations.com ), or is a logo okay (my company's logo displayed with the address included as a link back) etc. for search engines to pick up on it ? |

![]() Hi Ken,
Search engines only pick up on text link. It's my understanding that the search engine robotes do not pick up on any graphics. The best, Dave Make Money Online |

![]() Here's something you can do. If the sites which link to you are not in the search engine yet, then submit them, especially the page with the link to your site.
It might seem strange to submit someone else's website to a search engine, but by doing so you are increasing the links back to your website in the search engine, which will also increase your ranking. Your helping both yourself and the other site too. T. |
