Gordon,

Your advice is right on.

Start local. Get experience. Learn the craft well. Done correctly, a few local clients can support and help grow a front end service with a back end product. Global might come later. At this point, the product might well become the front end, but to many clients.

Also, for one reason or another, we might be targeting the WRONG group. I did. Look around. What other group(s) might be searching for what we offer? What/who drove you to develop your product/service?

Tutoring?? Ugh! Boring. Who wants to do that?

Give me something glamorous. Who cares if I've never done what I profess. The buyer will never know.

Re: Napolion Hill and THINK AND GROW RICH. Riches can be in many forms. "Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, the person can achieve."

Many years ago, my sales mentor "harped" on this book. Especially on "Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, YOU can achieve."

Months ago I had a cva. My right side is affected. Suddenly, I couldn't feed myself or wipe my A$$. Determined to do both and more, I forced myself to withstand the pain to reuse use the limp parts of my body.

Now I walk funny and still drool when tired. My typing has mssitakes that I miss and my memory sometimes takes longer to function. However, I can feed myself and wipe my own a$$.

Do I think of Napolion Hill, or Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, YOU can achieve?"

Nawww.

It' a part of me. It was constantly hammered into my mind in my 20's. It became a part of my life. I learned to change my thinking. I could do anything my physical strength allowed. The rest, I hired.

I've had to change my tutoring work. However, the product I offer was discovered by librarians and adult education teachers in many states.

The reason I first produced the product is because I couldn't find it anywhere, in simplified form, including libraries and adult literacy schools. I targeted the wrong groups. Many immigrants don't know enough English to find the product on the internet without help.

Such is life.

If you should see someone walking a little funny, and with a cane, say "Hello." Might be me.
