Default guaranteed visitor sites?

Does anyone have any experience with guaranteed visitor sites. I have been looking into promoting my website and using a site like.

http://www.iwinweekly.com

They guarantee these visitors will stay at your site for at LEAST 20+ seconds. Anyone have any experience with this type of advertising?

My thought is that if I just list my web site (main page) I want get that great of a response, but if I make a new page geared to catching someone’s interest quickly it could do real well.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Default Site traffic is not a magic bullet...

There are many ways of getting traffic to your site, but the key question is: Do you want visitors who are more likely to take the action(s) you want them to take on your site, or do you want a lot of untargeted visitors who are much less likely to take such action(s)?

Visitors who are "bribed" to visit your site in order to win a prize, or to otherwise get something for nothing, will be low quality visitors, in most cases. That is, unless your site is specifically targeted toward that type of visitor.

Another key question is: Have you given much attention to improving the conversion rate on your site before focusing on driving lots of traffic to it?

One exception to these points may be if you're selling ad impressions on your site. But in most cases, contrary to popular opinion, traffic in itself is not a magic bullet when it comes to web success. Getting targeted traffic to a site that has a good conversion rate are crucial.
