![]() I've received several e-mails lately from some very experienced website owners advertising courses in Fax Broadcasting, a way to generate sales for an internet business.
Has anyone tried this method of marketing or does anyone have any information on this topic ? Thank you. Ken Black. |

![]() Fax broadcasting can work ...if done carefully.
I've successfully used fax broadcasting for a number of years to specific businesses I know would be interested in what I'm offering. I've never had a problem and in fact I've had some call and thank me for letting me know about my service. Important-To avoid problems it's very, very important to target your market very, very carefully. The more targeted your list the less chance of a problem. I personally would never use it for biz ops, or to fax businesses or people in general. That's "asking for it" in my opinion. Please no lectures, sermons, or quoting of fax laws, recent cases, fines, etc. I post this to let you know it can be used successfully and without problem in the real world. Use it at your own risk. ![]() After EIGHT YEARS! So, there IS a way to do it WITHOUT a problem!
Also...we have recently gone to businesses who have their own Fax List and offered to do the faxing for them for a fee. "FAXES" get attention! They are GREAT WAYS to market things to business offices! PLUS...we also send faxes to HOTELS, MOTELS and Chambers of Commerce and Visitor Centers...who make copies of our fax ad sheets and GIVE THEM to their Guests and Visitors. ![]() Ron ~
After reading your post I thought, well here we go again! Then later on in the day I rethought your question and decided to respond to you myself. The answer to your question isn't with *5* Satsified Customers. The answer isn't within the FaxBux program either. The answer is right in your post and more importantly... within you. I can direct you to 5 Satisifed Amway Distributors. I can direct you to 5 Unsatisifed Amway Distributors too. The same holds true with a number of MLM's. Nikkon magnets would be another. I can point you to 5 satisfied clients of a Chiropractor and another 5 who despise them. Are you interested in Avon??? I know 2 reps who drive pink cars they've been awarded with. And I'm sure I can find 3 others to round out your 5! Wanna be an Avon Rep??? ;-) Whether someone points out 5 of this or 5 of that has no bearing on what you will do. And going by your post, and what it says between the lines, I would advise you to not purchase Don's program, or that of any others. You will not be happy. I'm not certain what Don Alm charges for the FaxBux program. $97??? $127??? $297??? I'm not sure. But if you don't feel capable of selling, a minimum, of at least $500.00 in advertising a week. Then stay away from this program and any other sales type program where you will have to go out on a cold call. Or meet with someone face-to-face. This isn't for you. I've been in direct selling for 13 years now and I have never met a successful sales person who needed to have 5 successful people pointed out to him, in order to go out and sell. But conversely, those who have contacted me to check on what I make and how I like it before they enter my profession, have never made it past two years. This tells me quite a bit about those entering a face-to-face selling career. Even in sports... It is with a fair amount of certainty I would say successful sports stars do not ask, if others have been successful. They go out and do it. Some are leaders and some are followers. Nothing wrong with either one. Some will blaze a trail and others will follow. Nothing wrong with the two of those either. Some people dislike Ford, some dislike Chevy. Others love them both. I drive a Buick! Some are capable of making a decision, and seeing it through. Others aren't. The FaxBux program, lke any other, will take work. And the 5 people you asked for aren't going to be there to help you. If you're looking for an excuse to not begin a sales career, you've found it. When I am asked for references by a prospect, personally I never give them. Because it is *I* who am qualifying *them*. Not vice versa. I do tell them "I work with a number of businesses in the same field that you are in, and will get their permission before I provide their names to you, if we get that far. Fair enough?" Ron, there are plenty of prospects to be found, and one won't make or break you. 80% of my income is realized from 20% of my clientele. And there are the 20% who I decide not to work with any longer for one reason or another. Nothing personal! They just aren't profitable. Business is business. Your post has red flags all over it. It's full of "hesitancy" and not that of "confidence". If I were Don I wouldn't sell FaxBux to you at any price. In the same manner, there are accounts I've worked on and with, who are better off somewhere else! I don't need the headaches of constant phone calls and wanting me to be there every mintue of the day. These are the 20% of the accounts I release. Again... Business is business. Anyway Ron... Don't make any purchases if you are basing it off of the seller pointing out 5 people who are successful. It's not worth it to you, or to Don. Success and Regards... Mike |
