![]() I just received my latest issue of "Direct Marketing News."
They had survey response in it. One of the questions the survey asked was, (in essence),... Give up??? What type of direct mail would you like to receive? Any ideas? Ok. I'll tell you. Postcards. Just like Gordon said. So study up on your postcard techniques folks. And in case you don't want to pay a printer to print them, you can now print them yourself in a convenient format. I was at a local OfficeMax yesterday buying labels for "10 Days to Get Out of Your Rut and Into Your Groove." While I was there, I saw something I'd never seen before. Blank postcards. In the label section. They come 4 to a page and are made with heavy stock like you would expect for a postcard. They have a place for the postage just like normal. So there you have it. Crank up those printers folks. Rick Smith, "The Net Guerrilla" How to Create Hot Software — Even If You've Never Touched a Line of Code! ![]() |

![]() Rick --
I go down to a local place called "Paper USA". Don't know if they are a chain or not. I'm sure most major cities have one or something similar. They sell the postcards in bulk and several different colors. While I was looking around they also had door hangers, folding cards, and all sorts of other things available too. And the price is likely lower than what you find at the Office Supply. Another thought on this. If all you have is an ink jet printer you may want to consider having your cards printed elsewhere or on a laser printer instead. The ink jet ink is very susceptible to smudging and water. Thats one thing when it's inside an envelope and an entirely different thing when it's on a postcard. I would probably just run them over to the office supply with a master and tell them you want your master copied onto these cards. My local places don't charge me any extra since I supply the paper. Hope that helps. -- Dan Butler > I just received my latest issue of > "Direct Marketing News." > They had survey response in it.
