![]() Whenever I need rejuvenating....I pick up "Scientific Advertising"...or anything put out by Joe Cossman or Joe Sugarman.
When I need "inspiration" or to "digest" and get into deep areas of my subconscious...I read about these guys and read their copy and ideas and try to get onto THEIR mindset. ![]() Hi Don,
> Whenever I need rejuvenating....I pick up > "Scientific Advertising"...or > anything put out by Joe Cossman or Joe > Sugarman. I agree with you here.... In addition to these guys, I seem to find anything written by Gary Halbert to be strangely hypnotic.... I think if we were living a few centuries ago, that guy would be in danger of being accused of witchcraft, his writing is so compelling.... By the way, your writings are great to read too, and Gordon's as well (I'm a big fan of both of your writings).... Cheers :) - Dien |

![]() ....or was it 1986?....when Gary Halbert started his NL?
For Gary's first 3 years he was remarkable. I anxiously awaited every issue. I learned MUCH from Gary...about Copywriting (writing Sales letters...how to find the right Appeal) ...Marketing methods which I still use (send postcards to your niche market offering a "Free Report Reveals....call our Free Recorded Message") It as a joy to behold. If anyone gets a chance you should go to Gary's site and download at least the first 3 yrs. They are gems. Don Alm > Hi Don, > I agree with you here.... ![]() Hi Don,
Yes, those Gary Halbert Letters are great reads. Because I was still quite a nerdy high school student in the 1980s, I only got a lot of issues of The Gary Halbert Letter this year. I have a whole stack of them (I haven't read them all yet). I just had a look at my collection, and the first issue was September 1, 1986. I bought these before I knew about Gary Halbert's web site, for those who want to read them, check out a whole bunch of issues for free at www.thegaryhalbertletter.com . Gary sometimes uses strong language, but you'll learn a whole heap of amazing stuff.... :) - Dien Rice |
