Questions about Online Marketing Time Management

Hi all,

I am doing some research on time management for the beginning online marketer.

Being that their are so many different things to take care of, especially if you are a WAH do it yourself type business.

Anyone that could respond to this, will get a free complimentary version of my product.

Here are my questions. Please include an email, or send me your response through a personal email if you don't want to post it here.
Put time management response in the subject line so I may weed it out through all the other STUFF that comes daily. :o)

1. What is your most important task that you feel must be done daily to stay successful?

2. Do you have a standard promtional routine? If so what is it?

How often do you submit your urls to the

search engines?
3. How much time do you spend at the forums on a weekly basis?, (given I am going to do this through many forums, this feels appropriate, although I do believe not many marekters are aware of this awesome tool:o)

In this same subject. What is your favorite forum?

4. If you were asked what was the biggest distractor factor, that interfered with our time management while working online, what would it be?

5. What is the wisest gem, relating to time management would you recommend to the new marketer? Any opinions on how you came up with this answer, would be greatly appreciated too.

6. If you were asked to recommend a product available already on the topic of time management for online business promoters, what product would it be and why?

That may not be a very modest 'Subject' line, but it's the truth.

Here's exactly how to be successful in business:

* Find something that you can sell;
* Build an organization to make as many sales as possible.

This applies to your question about daily activities as follows: if you're a one-person business, you should spend 80% of your time trying to close sales; if you're building an organization to make the sales, spend 80% of your time building the organization.

List your best promotional methods. Spend as much time as you can each day on all of them.

Submit three new URLs per domain per day to at least 12 spidered SEs. (People will say I'm wrong about this, but I think I'm right.)

Between our marketing community and the adult webmaster community, I spend around 30 hours a week reading and contributing to forums.

I'd have to say it would be my tendency to sabotage my own success. I don't know why I have this tendency, but I know I'm not alone in having it. I deliberately waste time, make tasks harder than they should be, do things like I'm doing now by answering your questions that don't relate to bringing in money, and generally just fight with myself constantly to try to do the right thing.

List all your mission critical tasks. Spend time on all of them every day. I came up with this answer based on what I was taught by my mentor in the adult webmaster community.

Diet Mountain Dew, because it's full of caffeine to keep you working when all you want to do is to rest. I like the new red flavor they recently introduced.

Hi,

The caffeine thing has a lot of truth to it. If you watch "Biography" as I do whenever they profile an Entroopreneer (as Don Alm spells it) you may have noticed that increasing stamina with legal (or otherwise) nostrums is occasionally mentioned. One of the many things I hate about myself is a lack of stamina--I can't work 18 to 20 hours a day like some webmasters I know.

Speaking of "Biography," one of my favorite entrepreneurial shows was about the life of Milton Hershey (the milk chocolate king). That guy had nothing but bad luck and still made it. Most successful people basically make it because they were lucky at some point (yes, Bill Gates, I am talking about you, among many others), but ol' Milton never had the good kind of luck. One of my heroes is Colonel Sanders--flat broke at age 60 and he still became a success.
