Default Your Opinion Please ...

Based on my own hands on experiences ...

I have put together a "How To Start And Operate A Mobile Oil And Filter Change Service Business manual"

and a

"How To Start And Operate A USED Auto, Light Truck, Van, and Suv PARTS Brokerage Business On The Internet."

Both manuals are based on legally starting and operating a business within the state of Virginia.

Readers are encouraged to adapt information found within the guides to fit their particular needs, state, and chosen marketing area.

My question is: "Do you believe there is a market for these manuals?"

And, if so ... "How can one get started marketing these manuals?"

Your help, advice, opions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Raymond

Default 2 ways To Sell YOUR Self Published BOOK Online In 7 DAYS!!

Whats Up Raymond

I actually like both your ideas. Its even better that you have already completed them.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

I especially like the second one. I think that is a HOT seller. How-To books sell very well.

The thing you must do is to make sure you have a GREAT sales letter. That is probably your most important goal.

If you want my recommendation on a good sales letter course I will email you privately.

I have personally created a few "how to manuals"
and they have all done very well for me. Im working on 3 more. However the biggest secret is to make your sales letter irresistable.(sp)

Which book should you sell first?

I would start off with that second book.

Now..personally...

I might do something with the title....

Switch the title from:

"How To Start And Operate A USED Auto,
Light Truck, Van, and Suv PARTS Brokerage
Business On The Internet."

to something like....

How You Can Make Money Selling USED
Auto Parts On The Internet Part Time

(or something like that)

Now......

Do you know where you should sell it?

Where can you find targeted traffic fast?
Here is my little secret...

.....

.....

.....

Go to Ebay and go under auto parts auctions.
Sell it under for dutch ( which means you set the one price)but sell more than one at a time

Keep your quantity to under 20 per week to show there is only a limited amount book available.

You MUST choose the the priority option
so that you get the most eyesballs geared toward
your book. Yes...its the one that cost $19.95.

Its more expensive but the results
can mean the diffence between selling 2 books per week to selling 50 per week...

I speak from experience. I have been doing this for close to 3 years and online Auctions are the easiest way to get people to buy your books.

Most people believe auctions are for collectibles...but Im proof that its not the only
thing that sells on auctions

The second way of course..is to provide information on targeted message boards geared towards auto enthusiast....and then hit them with the link to your book at the bottom
( kinda like what Im doing here)

Terrance

Plug.......:-)

Default Thanks Terrance - a powerful technique!

Hi Terrance,

I like your idea of selling your manual on eBay, with the priority option....

You're right.... Most people think eBay is for collectibles. But in reality, almost anything can be sold on eBay.... The way I see it, it's another "lead-generation" and "sales" method (rolled into one). The fact that literally millions of people shop on eBay makes it worthwhile....

Like everything else, though, you have to test....

I agree with you too - a powerful sales letter can be one of your most powerful "weapons" in making sales. (And a good product goes without saying.... It's MUCH easier to write a great sales letter if you have a good and UNIQUE product....)

Thanks.... Excellent post! :)

Terrance,

Thank you for your excellent reply to my post.

Yes, please e-mail me your recommendation on a good sales letter course.

[email protected]

Also, I really appreciate your suggestions as to which book to sell first, and where to sell it.

Thank you very much,

Raymond

Hi Raymond,

I can't speak for certain about your potential market, but I can name one guy who would be VERY interested in learning more about your second booket. ;-)

I spent 9 years in the automotive biz. I've done everything but sell new cars. I miss the industry, and would LOVE to find a way to combine my old love of cars with my new (well, sorta new...it's been since 1994 now) love of the internet.

Please drop me an email if you're interested in possibly selling your first copy. I'd love to hear more about it. :-)

Thanks!

Default Re: Your Opinion Please ...

First off, congratulations Raymond on creating
your own information products - great to see
new products emerging in innovative areas.

Is there a market for your topics - absolutely.

What's interesting is that your first product
would likely benefit from an offline marketing
campaign - as a good deal of the interest will likely
come from those either not on the internet or
not looking on the internet. Testing local
newspapers, legitimate biz opps magazines,
direct mail lists, even reprint rights licensing
to specific joint venture partners would be good
places to start. If you don't want to print the
report/book then you could put it on a CD-ROM and
market it that way as a physical product.

Your second opportunity would definitely appeal
to the internet business seeker crowd. In
addition to the excellent advice given, here are
a few other techniques to get good jump out of the
gate:

- setup affiliate program, there are tons of

quality sites that make their money from

listing business idea information for a portion

of profits on every sale.

- write articles for ezines, you will have a ton

to choose from since your product overlaps

automotive, franchise, biz opps, internet

marketing areas.

- develop press release for your product with

a catchy spin, submit one per week to various

sites, newspapers, and other media outlets.

- develop a free report, newsletter, etc... to

build your opt-in list, this will be the

main source of future product sales.

Cheers...

Jeff
