Default Motivated and Inspired

How do you stay motivated to create your products and how do you obtain your inspiration for your products?

I ask this not because I am not motivated or inspired but because so many people are NOT motivated enough nor do they receive the inspiration, though it is right in front of their eyes.

I am reading a delightful book by John C. Maxwell titled 'Failing Forward'. I say it is delightful because it has opened my eyes to even more of the possibilities inherent within ourselves and each other.

Sept. 11 has taken a toll on all of us directly and indirectly. We all suffered a loss and we all need to be reminded that we are all basically int he same boat and need each other.

There are a lot of bright and creative spirits still around and within us. I beleive this now and will beleive this tomorrow.

So, what motivates you to create and how do you stay inspired?

Default Re: Motivated and Inspired

Maybe the lack of motivation and inspiration should be telling them something?

Think about it this way: People do things for rewards (tangible or intangible; some sort of goal they want to reach.) If they're not getting the rewards, the tendency is for them to quit and try something else... like the horse who isn't getting enough grass in one section of the pasture. Rather than staying in one place and grazing the old ground, the horse will try to go somewhere else where there's a better reward (food).

One reason that the entrepreneurs try and fail and end up being successes is that they know WHEN to say "okay, enough." Part of that is judged by their lack of personal motivation.

That lack of motivation MAY be telling you that the job/opportunity just isn't that rewarding to you and you might need to think about doing something else.
