![]() What ezine sign up methods are everyone using ? What I mean is, are you using exit or entry pop-ups, sign up boxes on your site, sign ups via text links, or the automatic sign up that pops-up and all you do is hit okay ? Or a combination of all ? Finally, does anyone purchase ezine subscribers via worldwide lists or another company (eg. 15 to 26 cents a subscriber) By the way, for the automatic pop-up where you just hit okay, does anyone know where this html or software can be purchased ?
Are there any other fast methods of getting subscribers ? Thank you in advance. Have a nice weekend ! |

![]() Hi Ken!
Wow, lotsa questions! I use a pop up window on my site, and I am also participating (as some other folks are here) with Subscription Rocket which uses a Pop Under box. Subscription Rocket has been very effective for me. I also have articles published in many places online with my resource box including a clickable "mailto:" subscribe link so if a person is reading along in his/her email box and at the end of the article thinks what I offered was valuable, he/she can click and instantly subscribe. Really sweet and simple. Another quick thing to do is to contact some of your contacts who are also publishers and arrange a few ad swaps. The best kind are the ones where your contact actually recommends whatever it is you are promoting. If its your ezine, ask your contact to give a heartfelt recommendation. Works a lot better than just the standard ad from my experience. I think I have seen these referred to as "advertorials". In case you are not using Subscription Rocket yet, it is fairly simple to sign up. I have created a link for anyone to use here Happy List Building! ![]() I use Subscription Rocket. I also use pop-under
boxes with great success. I have purchased subscribers through Lead Factory for about 20 cents each. My last purchase was 11,000 subscribers. Lead Factory puts subscription boxes on hight traffic websites and the boxes offer several different ezines (with short descriptions). I can get 200-300 new subscriber in a good day with Lead Factory but the average is much lower. Another tool I use is a free list building tutorial. People answer a few questions about their list building objectives/experiences, etc. From that they are given a tailored list building tutorial via email. At the same time, as part of taking the tutorial they subscribe to my ezine. This sends me a steady trickle of subscribers every day. As Julie mentioned, articles are a good source of new subscribers. I give publishers permission to use my articles in their ezines, in ebooks and on their websites. I have articles posted on prominent websites which have been there for 4 years or more :-) These do send me traffic. Hope this helps. ![]() I once purchased a great deal of subscribers from another company, but, the results were not good. Most of the people unsubscribed, and many sent me Spam messages, even though the list was "double opt-in". On the other hand, a very high percentage of subscribers coming from other more targeted sources have stayed. Anyone have any experiences with paid subscribers ? This difference doesn't make much sense to me.

![]() Hi Ken,
The subscribers I purchased through Lead Factory are single opt-in. I have a fairly low unsubscribe rate but a lot of the subscribers (about 12%) have hotmail or yahoo accounts. A lot of these people seem to subscribe to ezines willy nilly.... maybe looking for something they're never going to find. Anyway, they let their mailboxes fill up and so I do get a lot of bounces... but that is true no matter how they get on my list. I get customers using hotmail or yahoo accounts making $1000 purchases from me so I'm not going to block these particular domains. I send out a sample issue of my ezine with the welcome message. That way if it's not what they're looking for I am actually encouraging them to unsubscribe. I put a lot of effort into most issues of my ezine so I only want subscribers who really want to receive the ezine. I've been very satisfied with paying 20 cents or so per subscriber.
