Thanks - I think creating a screensaver especially for your target market is a pretty good idea. It reminds me of "physical" promotional items - that is, pens, cups, mousepads, etc., with your brand on them. The idea is to get people to know and remember your brand name. This is the same kind of thing (I think) - except using a "virtual" product, a downloadable screensaver. It's an excellent idea. Thanks! :) The only thing I'd be cautious about in the article is the bulk emailing.... You'd have to be careful you don't cross over into "spamming", which could quickly undo all the hard work you've done to try to build your brand name. The idea of a "branded" screen saver, though - or other desirable "virtual" item - I think is a very good one! :) - Dien Rice |
