![]() Anyone know of a Television timer?
Maybe a token to be dropped into this device or maybe a code punched in which would then turn on the power to the TV for 1/2 hour increments. The power cord would be locked into a box preventing bypassing. I could rewire the TV, I think easily, but not everone has an electronics degree, or cares to void their warranties. Or design this into the remote, even blocking certain channels. |

![]() John,
You'll be able to get information on TV timers by contacting Monarch Coin http://www.monarchcoin.com Hope you don't feel you'll make a killing with this stuff! The FTC just fined a company out of Sarasota, FL (Mini-TV) for selling franchises for it's coin operated TV's, claiming the franchisee could make $1400 a year per set. FTC says it ain't so!! ![]() Thanks a lot Pete!
It's a great resource. Close to what I want but not there yet. Their products still require rewiring and a bit more cost than what I felt it could sell for. For commercial it is a perfect match. What I had in mind is a completed unit that a *family* could simply plug and play. The pwr cord would some way be secured to prevent removal. I.e.- children get *X* tokens worth of TV or Playstation etc. for chores, good test grade, allowance per week. |
