Hi Cristian,

I don't see why you can't sell to the USA.... I guess the main thing is to make sure you have the different shipping rates for different products all worked out, so people will know how much they'll have to pay in total for your product up front....

Also, to sell overseas you will really need to be able to accept credit cards and/or payments through Paypal.... If you don't have your own merchant account, a service like www.paysystems.com will let you accept credit cards to sell physical products online.

While I haven't looked into products being sold from Spain, I know there are many web stores selling all kinds of Australian products to a worldwide market.... I don't see why you couldn't do it.

I hope that helps!

Hello Dien,

Thanks for your help. I have paypal account and i am seeing paysystems for accept credit cards online, but my goal is to see if my products are good for the U.S market. I posted an auction in ebay that you see: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2072578388&rd=1

I would like to contact with business makers in the U.S to help me to sell this product or others.

Thanks Dien

Let me get this right: you are auctioning off ham, with a starting bid of $220? The auction doesn't mention how much ham you are offering.

In the photo you can view the piece of ham.

Keith, may I suggest that you include the weight of the ham, and some way a person can estimate shipping costs. Personally, I don't know anyone who would pay that much for a piece of ham, but I am open minded enough to accept that some people may see the value of your offering.

Cristian,

While I'm sure your offering a high quality ham, I for one would not pay that kind of money for any kind of ham!

The second problem that comes to mind, is the fact that you're trying to sell meat, and now you must deal not only with shipping, and U.S. Customs, keep in mind the FDA.

Your food products must pass rigide Food and Drug Administration guidlines in order to be shipped into the United States. That is of course, unless the company producing the hams already has received the necessary approval.

Best of luck,
Pete
