![]() Hi,
I signed up for cyberdiet.com for a MLM product that sells non ephedra based diet pills. The recent problems with ephedra has basically killed any business that has an ephedra diet based product. I gave up on retail sales for this ephedra based diet pills because sales dropped and the backend fufillment part was killing me. Now I am focusing on only building a downline with MLM. I though about my friends who were with Amway in that MLM model. The model was more realworld distribution and recruitment because the Internet (1993) was not that big. Also I saw that downline owners sold tapes and motivational products they created to sell to their own downline to make money on top of the products they were supposed to sell. Anyway looking at the model of building a downline Amway style is something I rather not do. I want to do just MLM recruitment over the Internet. Does anyone have a website or some course that really has good advice for MLM recruitment on just the Internet? Also any sites or models out there that really work. Thanks. -Frank |

Frank: I've snipped your post to show the basics of what you're asking. Which is, only recruiting and building a downline to do all the selling for you. THAT causes a problem. And the successful model you are looking for will remain hidden to you because all you are interested in is selling the opportunity and not the product. How will those you want be enticed? By telling them all they have to do is find X number of people to do the selling, right? And how do you expect them to build a downline? By telling people all they have to do is find X number of people to do the selling. And on and on. Always selling the opportunity and not the product. You want to build a downline? First thing to do is SELL THE PRODUCT! Treat is like any other product you are able to get at wholesale prices. Only after you have established a proven method for selling the product should you consider recruiting people to sell for you. Because only after you have a proven method for selling the product, will you have something to give to your downline which will enable them to sell the product. To approach it any other way is marketing death. You will be trying to get people, who have no idea on how to sell, to sell a product you yourself don't even sell. And you'll be telling them of all the wonderful money they can make selling this product (or getting others to sell it) when you aren't doing it. Sell the product yourself. Develop a proven system for doing so. After that, then you might consider letting others use your product selling system. Product sales first. Recruitment second. That is a model that works. Recruitment without a desire to sell any product yourself does not work and causes MLM burnout. Michael Ross |

![]() Frank,
My website is designed to generate both sales of my products as well as leads for the opportunity. I may loose some sales when prospective buyers see the opportunity link. But, if I don't have the opportunity, I risk getting a one-time order from someone who might turn out to be a success in my business if I don't offer the opportunity. I decided to risk losing a few customers, and went for a sublte text link only, placed quite a ways down the page. My focus is still on selling first, but then again, my business is in Bi-Level Marketing as opposed to MLM. Dennis Bevers My dual purpose website for Promotional Advertising products! |

![]() Frank,
> I want to do just MLM recruitment over the > Internet. Michael's advice is good. First, you've got to have a product that you believe in without reservations. Companies that operate only on the "make money" aspect of MLM always fail, and when they fail, you fail regardless of how much time, money and effort you have put into it. > Does anyone have a website or some course > that really has good advice for MLM > recruitment on just the Internet? Don't rely on just the internet for MLM. Do both internet and offline --- there are a lot of ways to promote and sell products offline. Best way is to use offline combined with online to sell *product*. You *can* recruit distributors as an action by itself (typically, "MLM people"), but if you have a good/great product, you'll find it's relatively easy to pick up distributors from your customer base (since they obviously like the product, or they wouldn't be buying it). Again, if you have to put the product on the back burner and try to sell only the opportunity, you're going to fail. Find a different program. > Also any sites or models out there that > really work. Click on the link below to go to a site that is working for me (this is the *product* link to the site --- the opportunity link is .com instead of .net). I've had sales over the internet, but most of my sales so far have been retail, one-on-one direct to the consumer. It's a nutritional product I use myself and the only reason I got involved is because I and others I know have gotten rave results using it. Since the product is solid and has a money-back guarantee, I have no reservations about telling others about it and selling it to them, and getting actual retail customers has been rather easy for me. There's also a lot of how-to online and offline instructional material I can point you to if you are interested --- please email me for that. The main point, however, remains: If you're going to do MLM, find one that has a PRODUCT you can sell without any doubts or reservations. Otherwise, you don't stand a chance of making a success of it. Like To Feel Better? |

![]() Hi,
Thanks for your input by the way I screwed up the site it supposed to be cyberdietpills.com anyway I used to sell Extreme Power Plus ( ephedra based) For every 1000 dollars spent I would profit net 2000 dollars. That includes taxes shipping, product, and support. Pretty good but scaling the business was too time consuming. So I do know how to make money and setup a money making system. The problem was if I had to do the work stuffing boxes then I don't have the time. Hiring employees would cut into the small margins that I ran. Extremem Power Plus had a MLM program but the company itself sold the product retail to the public. A practice I did not like at all. Anyway it all has crashed because of the FDA and ephedra scare. But now I have a new company with the same type of product but without the ephedra. I am looking for specific resources to grow the MLM business on the Internet only. No door to door meetings all Internet based. I know this is a totally different animal marketing. That is why real world MLM is something that I take with a bag of salt. So the product is hot. The market is hot ( diet industry) Competition for MLM spots I am one of the first ones. The brand is new and the advertising is not saturated (Yet!) so it is not a commodity market either (yet!). Hope these details help. Thanks for your help. -Frank |
