![]() and let it carry you into the New Year.
I like fast starts. So this morning I did my core (stomach and back) exercises and then hit the deck running. Although I really don't want to part with it (for sentimental reasons) I'm NOT planning on cooking for 159 people or even 100 from my little RV, so I have no need for my Cooking School in a Box...and it went up today on ebay: (If you want to buy me a nice gift...and keep it for when I visit, I'd have tears of joy if you got this): http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...6992&rd=1&rd=1 These are just like the recipes I used while cooking and baking on the USS Woodrow Wilson and the USS Grayback. They have never been out of the box, just wanted a keepsake for days gone bye-bye. I'll have several other auctions up before the day is over. Also, I started my craigslist postings...here's a typical couple that I use: http://akroncanton.craigslist.org/bar/255996988.html And http://akroncanton.craigslist.org/lss/255998408.html I'll probaly teach a few people the fine art of Chatteling in the next couple of months and as you see, it is a nice little helping of small potatoes income for me. There will be several other offers up soon too...ALSO, I've found several things to BUY, both at craigslist and in the Akron Beacon Journal...at my craigslist there is a FREE aquarium...I've got my email in for that one...I KNOW I can reinvest my 95 dollars I've made from the original 5 dollar garage sale investment and turn it into 135 or more with a FREE aquarium and a trip to PetLand. ALSO, in the process of downloading Michael Mayhew's offer below (don't ya love multi-taksing?) ...bought some products this morning...bid on a couple of things...and had my morning coffee. There is a theory that I DO believe in...and that is that ACTION, and massive amounts of it in the beginning of a project, leads to productivity and prosperity. I see 2007 as a NEW beginning. There will be time for socializing a little later in the day, but for now, I want to be DOING. If you want to Make IT Happen in 2007, you might want to consider keeping a close eye on how you spend your time. Or not. Gordon Jay Alexander PS. I also cleaned out the GJA Chatteling Forum this morning, and registered a couple of domains. It is my way of making IT happen for myself this year. Make it happen for YOURSELF this year, and do so with JOY: http://www.tinyurl.com/y3tuw5 |

![]() Thanks Rick,
I lead the league in penalty flags, and since I'm off to such a good start, maybe I'll set the record this year...HA! Thanks for taking a peek...now I got to make up those 15 yards on the kickoff return. (Too MUCH football on New Year's day?). |

![]() Hi Gordon (and everyone)!
Thanks for that inspirational message... I can feel it in my bones that 2007 will be an exciting year! Anyway... I've recovered from the New Year's party and it's time to get things going! ![]() Thanks again... I just have a "good vibe" about 2007... I'm looking forward to it! Cheers Dien |

![]() Like many regulars of online forums, my business is primarily offline, in the world of brick and mortar. My offline clients are mostly enjoying the extended weekend with the combined New Year's Day holiday, followed by the federal holiday, Day of Mourning, for President Gerald Ford. With the federal gov't shut down, including the Federal Reserve and Post Office, many businesses opted to give employees an extended weekend. I'll call on a few clients today, but won't hit it hard until tomorrow. In the meantime, I'll be busy taking care of the home office tasks of switching out 2006 catalogs for those suppliers who had sent their new 2007 replacements out last month. Techinically, my sales year starts September, and with a 25% increase year to date, I hit the ground running starting 4 months ago. January 1st just gets more attention, although it doesn't reflect most companies' business year. Dennis Bevers |

![]() Jim,
A happy and more prosperous 2007 to you! Hawaii is very doable with online businesses pumping in the dough, as you already know. I've been working on some all last year and from your post, I realize that I can do the same (not necessaruilly Hawaii, but wherever I choose!) It's a worthwhile goal. Lawrence |

Jim... Keep in Mind, there's a Ton of Money and Future Early Retirement plans to be Made in Real Estate. ![]() And it's Not just in Flipping Houses. ![]() As I've mentioned in past posts... Buy just a little bit of Affordable Waterfront property in small places! And other types of real estate in small Up & Coming Places... You really don't need much to be Nice & Comfy! Believe it or Not... More than we Think is Available in Many places Worldwide... And here's just one good example. ![]() Florida's 'tin-can tourists' get $1 million offer Residents of South Florida trailer-park town get offer from developer http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16440697/?GT1=8921 Phil |

Is this the same as taking out an option on a house? That is, paying the house owner an amount of money for the option, then selling the option to someone else? I understand that can be done with very little "money down". Though the laws regarding options on property seem to vary from place to place... Thanks, ![]() Dien |

I feel just like you do regarding Hawaii... I feel "at home" when I visit there... I did live in Hawaii once in my life - when I was very young (from about age 1 to about age 4)! One of my brothers was born there (not Thomas, but another brother of mine, coincidentally also named James)... I don't know what it is... Is it the sun, sand, and surf? Or maybe the hula dancers, in their grass skirts, and leis? Or maybe it's surfing and the statue of the "Duke" at Waikiki? Or eating delicious Mahi Mahi? Or the relaxed "islander" attitude to life? Or perhaps the whole package? I'm crazy about the place! Mahalo for your post! - Dien |

![]() One of those distractions will be Real estate investing. My brother makes in excess of a million dollars a year flipping properties and I'm pretty sure that he's not any smarter than me :-) If he can, so can I!
Hey Jim, I have to say I always enjoy reading what Joe does as an RE Investor on creonline. He is a master at it and presents ideas no other investors do things. And, to top it all off he is a great guy and honest. I'm planning on purchasing some of his materials to get a better idea of his techniques. I was actually under the impression you where doing RE Investing using his techniques. Have you come up with a way to put this is a system where you don't have to be involved on the day to day operations? ![]() Would be interested in hearing your thoughts on this. Thanks, Tony |
