Default The 10 Worst Infomercials Ever

I like infomercials... They're a great education in selling - since they'll only run an infomercial over and over if it sells. They can be a learning experience!

But... I also love lists like this...

The 10 Worst Infomercials Ever!

It's a great video... Check it out. You probably won't believe your eyes!

And there are some great infomercial "blasts from the pasts" there too...

(Note: this is a video, so is most easily watched with a fast-ish internet connection...)

(A different ad may play first, but you should be able to "Skip" it to get to the 10 Worst infomercials...)

P.S. There are at least 3 "Ronco" products there that I spotted... There may be more... You can watch more classic "Ronco" (Ron Popeil) ads here...
http://www.biography.com/broadband/r...ord=ron+popeil
(The "smokeless ashtray", "Mr. Microphone", and the cover up spray for your bald spot are all past Ronco products...)

P.P.S. I'm going to have to grow some massive sideburns, just so I can use the product in infomercial #4 !

It'd be interesting to see what they meant by 'worst.'

All marketers know that a 'terrible' ad can produce the best roi. Of course the consumer cannot understand this concept -- they might very well assume that the ad that SEEMS to be worst IS the worst roi-wise too.

In other words, some of these ad creators might be laughing all the way to the bank.

Cheers!
