Default Amber and Billy Bob...

Yesterday, Paul Harvey made a mention on his broadcast that people in Japan are paying up to $100.00 for imported cockroaches! They keep them as pets. Just thought you'd like to know.

Best wishes,

Hi Bruce,

Thank you for mentioning this. I try to always listen to Paul Harvey, but missed that particular broadcast. :)

I'm not sure how Billy Bob would feel about being shipped so far from home, but hey...if the Japanese are really that fond of roaches, then I may have to reconsider my marketing efforts to that country!

My husband is leaving for a business trip to Germany and packing more Billy Bob's in his luggage to satisfy multiple requests from business acquaintances over there. (A few of them traveled to America a few weeks ago and went home with their Texas souvenir and showed him around to their peers when they returned to Germany.)

What fun it is to hear of people (even on the other side of the world now) enjoying my whacky creation.

I think that everyone should consider having at least one humorous project, on the side, to add more fun to the lives of others. Besides a few dollars, my reward has been lots and lots of laughter from the hilarious feedback I am getting. And that is priceless. :)

Yee~ha!

Yours Truly,
Amber

Default Billy Bob's little known cousins....

Hi Amber!

It's great to hear that the Texas Cowboy Cockroach is conquering the world!

I've heard of a few of Billy Bob's cousins in the northern part of Australia.... These are the little-known Croc-wrestling Cockroaches.... Pretty tough bunch, they are!

Default Dien, that is so funny...

Hi Dien,

Even though Billy Bob is certainly a brawny fella (but I never said he was a John Wayne-type-cowboy), he's probably no match for your Australian Croc-wresting roaches!

No sir. Not tough enough to tangle with your wild bunch.

BB is more of a 'gentleman cowboy'. With his mission in life as a self improvement 'coach' (he much prefers that title instead of motivational speaker), it appears that he has evolved...and that most of his primitive genetic instincts are now very foreign to him. I doubt that he and his Australian 'cousins' could even communicate well, unfortunately. :)

While your 'wresting roaches' are having a wild and thrilling adventure, Billy Bob is focused on important projects. Currently, he is busy organizing other roaches to join with him... to make a plan to stop the sale of what he believes to be a world 'evil' ...those awful roach hotels (Billy Bob's words, not mine!) ~ where roaches seeking a good time inside of those seductive chambers will never come out alive!

And...on a slow day, BB is still watchful for more damsels in distress that may need his help.

Recently BB was 'approved' for inclusion on a site with other offerings by talented Texas artisans. I wonder how they all 'really feel' about having Billy Bob presented there - on equal footing - with all their lovely things! :)

Cheers Dien!
~Amber

Billy Bob is a very sophisticated roach! :)

I'm sure many roaches around the world can sympathize with Billy Bob.... You never know, he could succeed in starting a world-wide movement!

Well.... Here in Australia, I must admit I'm not very knowledgeable about the life of the average 'roach.

But I learned a little bit more about Sydney roaches from a recent discovery!

I was clearing out some shelves, and upon moving some items I noticed a bunch of cockroaches scurrying away! I had no idea they were there.... That's when I noticed them....

Little white specks. I got some tweezers, and picked up one of them.... Placing it under a magnifying glass, I had a look....

I could barely read the text.... It said,

"How to win friends and influence creepies" by Dale Crawleygie

I picked up some of the other specks.... A couple other titles were....

"How I got 1,000,000 flecks of food scraps (and you can too!)"....

and

"The millionaire next cupboard door"....

I had stumbled on a cockroach success book club!

I better not say too much about what I know though.... I know that these roaches sometimes surf this forum to try to figure out what I'm up to....

So if Billy Bob receives a (very tiny) letter from Australia, you'll know why! The Sydney roaches could be joining up with Billy Bob.... :)

Amber, I think Billy Bob could be well on his way to conquering the world! ;)

Default Looks like a 'j.v.' may be in order :)

Hi Dien,

So, do you suppose that the entrepreneurial Australian roaches want to ride the glory train to success on the heels of BB's soon-to-be universal recognition, and status, by aligning their publications with his handsome image and esteemed reputation? A joint venture? Hmmm...
O.K. - it might work!

And to think that it was YOU that made this keen observation of higher intelligence in Australia's roach kingdom. Way to go, Dr. Rice. :)

Thanks for the good laugh with your very witty and imaginative response!

More Cheers!
Amber
