![]() ...in circulation??
Ok, I live in the City of Brotherly Love (Philadelphia). Within 15 minutes walking distance, there are five banks. I have this direct mail campaign that I wanted to use a dollar-bill as the grabber (only two letters via FedEx), but this isn't about direct mail. I went to all five banks and asked for 2 crisp-new dollar bills. Did I get them.... No! Not one bank had new dollar bills. I was dumb-founded. "You don't have any?"...teller "nope, we no longer get new money each month". So all they had were wrinkly and crumbled ones. I guess the Fed has hasn't shut down their printing press yet. Matt FYI - I came up with a creative way to flatten old bills out good enough to mail. |

I tried the same thing in my area and couldn't get them. So I started using the million dollar bills that are available. They cost less and seemed to work as well. |

![]() Slightly dampen the bill with water.....lightly spray with Spray Starch...iron bill on low steam setting..almost as good as new.
Be thankful...the lowest denomination bill I can mail here is a $5 bill |
