Christmas Cash

I've had 2 single moms , on 2 separate occasions, ask me this
week, if I knew of any ways they could make some "Christmas Money". I told
them I'd get back to them this week.

So...I had to go to the dentist to fix a filling and while in the chair, he
yells out to his asst, "Hey Megan! Look into getting some Christmas Cards
to send to patients?"

He then turns back to me and says, "Sending Cards out every year are a "pain in the butt" BUT, we do it to "keep in contact" with them so they remember us when they need dental work".

Well...this set off my Thinking Cap. These women could offer a "Greeting
Card Mailing Service" to Dentists and Doctors.

They'd have to solicit the offices and show a Flyer stating what they
do...maybe show 4 or 5 Sample Cards, quote a price per 50, 100, 250...and
ask for the order.

So...in my research I remember there's a co that will mail out Cards for you
for about $1 ea, including postage. "SendOutCards.com". Only problem as I
recall is, there's an Intro Fee of $200 or $300.

So...I'm hunting for a line of Cards that would work for Drs and Dentists.

AND...I'd like your input;

1) Is THIS a Viable "service"? Would Doctors or Dentists PAY for a service like this?

2) WHAT would they be willing to pay? Would $3.50ea, be too much to charge?

3) Where would I find a Line of Cards that would be good for Doctors or Dentists?

Thanks Phil....I see there's a bunch of companies offering this service so, it is viable.

Now....the way MY mind works is, I like to come up with things that are unique and different AND....potential Clients EAGERLY WANT....HUNGRILY.

So....remembering back to my "Photo Business Card" days (I think it was back in 1985 when Photo Business Cards first came out)...I'd walk into a business, show a few samples, state what my service was, quote a price and "Ask For the Order"...get a deposit, arrange a time to take a Photo...take the photo, send it to my Photo Card supplier and they'd make up the amount I ordered.

So...I'm thinking;
"Why don't we look into "PHOTO GREETING CARDS" with PERSONALIZED Photos in a Frame"

A photo of a Dentist and his staff, a Physician and his staff, a Chiropractor and his staff...a Beauty Salon owner and her staff...an insurance agent and his staff...etc.

This would be a PERSONALIZED Card....with a nice greeting and the Name of the Sender.

Now....3 things;
1) Where do I go for 100 or more copies of a Photo?
2) Where do I go for a "Photo Greeting Card Frame" I can slide the photos in?
3) What could I charge for these? (I'm assuming I could get at least $3 ea in lots of 100 or more...plus an initial Photo Fee)

So...I'm still doing "research" into this because I REALLY think it is viable, where almost anyone can;
1) Walk into a Dentist or Doctor or Insurance Agents office....
2) Show some Samples, explain what you're doing, quote a price, get an OK for X qty
3) Arrange appt for photo (I do NOT think one has to be a "Pro". Just a decent shot with a Digital would suffice) (I've taken many shots with my digital and they come out ok)
