Default It is.. and I started that way. *g* Re: Is this possible?

It is possible. Funny... I started out doing it that way. Once I had about half the site done, I decided to drop the feature. Know why? Because I asked myself the same question that I ask when I do a client's site.... "what is the tradeoff for the extra load time?" I couldn't think of one that affected sales. It was purely a novelty. You know?

I kept the mouseovers on the buttons for two reasons. I used to get a lot of email from people asking if I "knew" how to do mouseovers, because they wanted them. (I didn't use them on my old site.) My site now establishes that I do.
*laughing*

Also, I think mouseovers are a visually attractive way to aid in navigation (you always know where you are because the button 'changes') without sacrificing load time. The entire page, graphic intensive as it is, loads in 9 seconds at 56k and 15 seconds at 28.8.

When connection speeds become faster for a wider number of the population, I'll probably add more of the novelty stuff.. it's saved on my D drive. Of course by then I'll probably want to change the look again and have to start all over again anyway! *grinning*

One of those little things that "catches" your eye on the second visit. : ) I like those.
Like watching a movie a second time and seeing what you missed the first time.

I sure hope so, Gordon - and thank you for the kind words!

Thanks for sending Phyllis... I'm sending you a personal email on that one, okay?

Sincerely,
Linda

You know... : )
