![]() Thanks Phil,
Remember Faith Popcorn and the discredited John Naisbitt with his Megatrends? The problem with these TRENDY people is TIME...as it goes by, we see their forecasts are less accurate than that of an astrologer or a dart thrower...betch the same will happen with this current trendmeister. So, rather than being just the cynic and/or crytic...here are my top ten trends for the next few years. 1. People, in the vast majority of the bell curve, 80% will remain stupid. As Ron White, the comedian sez, "you can't cure stupid". 2. We will become our DATA. In fact, we are. TARGET is one of the great data tracker marketers, sending coupons for diapers to 17 year old girls, whose fathers explode on a Target Mgr for encouraging sex, then finds out she IS pregnant. TARGET knew long before he did. 3. The Internet Search engines, read Google, will continue to serve up what they think are targeted advertising. Before I continue. I wrote a post at another forum and used Breathing as an example of a niche market...since then, everywhere I go I get served up ads for Respitrol to the point of annoyance. So, I've fought back, taking a small stone and putting it into my slingshot. Everytime google serves me their ad, I go and put stuff in the shopping cart and then abandon it. I wonder if only 1000 people a day did this, if Respitrol would consider google ads as a good way to advertise? Hmmm, maybe I should start a group of Shopping Cart Abandoners to teach em a little lesson? For an experiment, I've been searching for Baby related items and now I'm being served up prenatal vitamins and all things pregnant woman...see, I'm going to have some input into my DATA, because, we have become our data...when in reality, we ain't. Be aware of the ads YOU are getting, because somewhere is a computer who has YOU all figured out and it is all about advertising...the Intrusive kind that TW harps about. 4. The gov't, FEDERAL, will continue to raid people's homes and businesses and ignore the constitution. One has to wonder WHY Obama used Fast and Furious to evoke executive privilege? Here in NM a big related story, NOT being covered is the Rick Reese and Family story.Google Rick Reese gun dealer and you won't find a single main stream media covering this story which is directly related to Fast and Furious. Rick and sons are in jail. Their property seized by a new agency, which starts it's gov't career with much egg on it's face. Google is in my opinion the Darth Vader of the Universe. Which brings up number five trend. 5. As more and more people see through the social media privacy, or lack of it, and as they are served up more and more customizable intrusive ads...the next big thing will be the next Facebook/MySpace (see, stupid people can even be billionaires)... Where people can have their social wants, without all the intrusive ads, watch for it soon. 6. Continued Internet users backlash, with more using smart phone replacement options for their current browser use...and already, THEY, the marketers are using DATA from your phone to sell you products and services they know you want. Since they KNOW I'm a pregnant teen, I get all kinds of really nifty offers on my SMART phone. In 1969 Charlie Green, computer whiz on a ballistic missile carrying nuclear powered submarine taught me...GIGO Garbage In Garbage Out...the wrong holes punched on a card would mean San Francisco got the bomb instead of Moscow... and they made sure the IN was accurate. Today, every place you go, your every keystroke on line is being compiled and YOU are now the DATA...think about it. 7. MORE people from around the world will come online and fall for the BS that all you have to do is push a few buttons and you'll get rich overnight. There will be MORE hucksters, scammers and scumbags online more than ever and there will be an endless stream or suckers...see point 1. 8. More boys will become girls. 9. There will be a lower class revolution, think Tea Party with Molotov Cocktails as Congress tinkers with Medicaid, Welfare and other Entitlement programs. They don't have to do anything to provoke the riots, just think about doing something. 10 LeBron James will continue to play basketball, HATED in Cleveland and Loved in Miami and Akron. Let's see how these 10 play out and how good I am against the PROS. ONE last TREND...less and less of Gordon online, after all, what does a 17 year old pregnant girl know about anything anyhow? ![]() Gordon,
Part of your post says, "Everytime google serves me their ad, I go and put stuff in the shopping cart and then abandon it. I wonder if only 1000 people a day did this, if Respitrol would consider google ads as a good way to advertise? Hmmm, maybe I should start a group of Shopping Cart Abandoners to teach em a little lesson?" Go to: http://www.powerhomebiz.com/vol13/shoppingcarts.htm and read what they say the potential cost to retailers might be when people abandon their shopping cart. The article on this page is a bit dated so I have to imagine the dollar figures are larger in 2012. You might be on to something with this abandon shopping cart idea. If it happens enough times, google's data has to become skewered. By the way, there is another site that shows merchants how to contact those of us who abandon our shopping cart. I won't list their url but the problem is being addressed. I don't know how successful they are in getting the abandoner to buy but that's not the point. The point is the merchants have recognized the problem. Tom |

![]() If by email, I'll have my filters and autoresponder ready, engage them...spend their time...make em think they can convert me...keep them involved and simply waste their time all on autopilot.
By phone? Good luck with that one Respitrol. By mail? General Delivery USA? I welcome the opportunity to waste as much of their time as they have wasted mine. Maybe I'll start blogging about it. Start my own little revolution. Just keep in mind, no matter how savvy marketers get, how many ads they serve up, how many targeted attempts at DATA marketing... I, as a person, always have the opportunity to say NO. NO is the best weapon one has against intrusive advertising. Quote:

![]() Gordon,
I have to ask. Are diapers part of the headlight cleaning kit? ![]() ![]() ![]() OK, now that I'm over that, let's help the Boz on your dime. I cold called a fellow locally who does exactly that and we chatted a bit. He said he gets $20 and up depending on the headlights he is cleaning. As for the auto dealers here in town, only some of them hire him. The others use their own people. As for the general public he has met with success. He doesn't get every sale but he gets enough to make it worth his while. He is always prospecting and after I call him back next week we may even get to do some fix up work on his website. That's why I called him. My final recommendation - The Boz, with all of your great help and advice of course, is on to a winner. I might even drive to NM to have him clean my Ford truck. Have a great day, Tom |

![]() My own brother, who needs something he's been laid off over a year...doesn't believe anyone can make money doing this.
In fact, when I tell people that is what I was doing in San Diego and plan to do it while on the road...people don't believe it. YET, I've seen it, done it and know it works. Most people don't think about it, but, once you show them the 3 second demo which will show them what they look like AFTER, it is an easy 10 dollar sale and with Boz doing his upsell, 40 dollars, and bridge at 20 and with the ability to take credit cards on his smart phone... well, it is easy to see how Box is getting a near 90% close rate. As for prospecting, Boz lets his magnetic marketing and the customers come to him. And once they do...bazinga, a 20 dollar bill in 3 minutes. Ask your friend how long he takes and if he uses a buffer. I encourage all of you to call your local area businesses, including Walmarts with auto places and see how much they charge. YOU can kill the competition by being mobile, flexible in pricing and fast and furious. Gordon PS You might want to tell him to get the new manual at www.renewnightvision.com and HE can quit sitting around prospecting...he can get more customers than he ever imagined...a bargain for him for only 97 dollars Quote:

![]() You can believe I am not skeptical. Somebody had to be doing it given all of the TV hucksters selling their stuff for $100. When I'm driving around I always look at everybody's headlights. Wowee, zowee, one out of three cars. Of course the new cars don't count ---yet.
Here is where the hangup might be - people BELIEVE it requires a lot of work. After all, who has really ever heard of offering this as a service? Don't know that for sure but I'd bet my speculation is close to the mark. I'd bet if a guy had a friend who was a mechanic w/his own garage that is and not working for a dealership, he could make two or three hundred a day. As for the auto dealership (new cars) w/a used car lot, if a guy knew the general or sales manager I'd bet he could get all their headlight biz. Again, don't know that for sure just betting on the come as they say in the casino. Personally I'm hoping Boz sells a bazillion manuals. I might poke a little fun but I noticed that seems to happen a lot around here ![]() Good luck... Tom |

![]() You're right Phil, I just don't get it. Why can't you just say what you mean in plain English, with a period at the end? You are the #1 king of search. You are the #2 prince of cryptic...behind Glenn. And the worst communicator I've ever seen. But thanks for playing... We have some nice gifts for you... ![]() |

![]() I get it Phil.
I'm just a friend helping...not hired help like last time. I've laid out the plan, including article writing, press releases, ads...but, it is how I would do it. Boz has his own ways, and it is his baby. HOWEVER, I can decipher your encrypted posts, SO, with the SQ1, all of your suggestions will be used. Starting with posting here and articles at ezine articles too. PR is a very useful tool, and it is very affordable too. Thanks Phil, don't change, we don't want everyone to "get" you...means less competition for those of us with the decoder ring....HA. GJA Quote:
