![]() I own several online business which focus in the UK market. My business is not in the UK or in the European union jurisdiction. My question is: are there any taxes I need to pay? should I add the vat to the products my users are purchasing?

![]() Dear Sharong,
Find someone you respect who is already doing something similar to you. And ASK, "How do you already handle this?" Generally. Mentors I know who do a lot of international business will find ONE Country - the one they live in-citizenship - to pay tax to. ------------ ------------ EXCEPT for...Folks who have been Knighted. People like Sir Richard Branson who have a special Relationship with the UK Government. Unspoken. Not written about but OBVIOUS. Sir Richard has saved The UK Gummn't Billions and Billions. IS saving them more and more due to his ownership of formerly munny losing BILLIONS of POUNDS A Year in the red - chains of banks, Health clubs, Airlines... 500 companies in all. Branson has turned around TWO MAJOR Railroads in the UK too. Has negotiated special deals. Anyway. Watch what others You Respect are doing and follow them. Usually the country where you have citizenship will defend you. Glenn |

Hi Sharon, You don't have to pay Tax in the UK if you are resident of different country. You only need to pay the taxes in your own country, Best betty |

![]() Hi Sharing,
LindaC here. If you live in the United States there are two things in life you can expect to deal with: taxes and death. That may sound harsh, but its oh so true. If you live in another country, I don't know if you would be required to pay taxes. However, it should not be too difficult to find out. Just ask any elected official, and they should be able to help you out or put you in touch with someone that can answer your questions. Hope this helps. My Best 2 U, LindaC |
