![]() Co-founder of Facebook, Justin Moskovitz, declared a couple of days ago that email is about to die.
Mark Zuckerberg also declared (in 2011) that email was dead. The Wall Street Journal declared (in 2009) that "email's reign is over". But... That's all "horse-stuff"...! According to some recent research, for marketing purposes, email is "40 times more effective than Facebook and Twitter"... So... from the looks of it, you shouldn't abandon email yet! Have not checked all your links yet But I tend to agree, email might be SLOW and the response rate might be LOWER but, for an old-timer like myself (57), that is all I want to handle. Forget text messaging (No, I don't even text) and any other kind of gadget. Eventually, I will get around to my emails and when I do, you better be ready, lol, Eva |

Hehe... I have a virtual "mountain" of emails I have to write! I sent out a lot of "Happy New Year" greetings this year... and (would you believe it) many people replied... So now I have a few replies to write back... ![]() Actually, it was pretty good! I "rekindled" a bunch of old relationships, people I hadn't communicated with in years (and in a few instances, in decades - specifically, about three of them were old friends from high school)! Much of it was email, though some of it was through Facebook, too... I still prefer email instead of Facebook, though. ![]() Best wishes, Dien |

![]() I cannot imagine email going away any time in the near future. The world of technology and communication has certainly changed, but the reality is that people still use email as often as they did 10 years ago. In the marketing world there has long been the saying that the money is in the list. This means that earning a living online comes from building an email list of people who you send emails to, and even today those in the know keep saying that the money is in the list. If email was dead why would so many people focus on building lists?
