Default Jim Straw Definition of a **Mastermind Group** VS Walter Hailey's

Thanks Dien For Giving Us Entrepreneurs a place to Share Ideas,

I Wrote an Ezine called, "The Best Definition of a Mastermind Group I Ever Made Munny With."

And several VIP's emailed to say, "You Should share that at the Warrior Forum."

I get lost over there.

Too many niches - I never know where to start. And prefer YOU Guys at sow pub instead.

***********
JIM STRAW -

Jim Straw used to discuss his Definition of A Mastermind with me. Before and
after he wrote his last book.

Put in my own Words Jim's Definition goes something like this:

**No more than 2 People Who are Working as a Team to Make Munny Together.
Or Accomplish any kind of co-operative project.

Jim's Experience had showed him that a Mastermind Group was only possible btwn two people.

Jim was worth about 500 million - so we're not going to argue.

But Jim's Book and his Experience Was Narrowly Focused on Deal Making.
Really profitable deals. Where you hand the list of what you HAVE to a prospect
and he HANDS You CASH - without any selling required.

Tough to Explain to others.

And Rough Going to Adapt and Apply in other Industry niches.

*************
WALTER HAILEY -

My 1st Mastermind Mentor Had piled up 426 Million Dollars when we met. Walter
Hailey Used HIS VERSION of a Mastermind Group
to start 4 companies, take them public and sell them.

Co #1 - Bread Flour

Co #2 - Insurance Sales

Co #3 - Oil & Gas

Co #4 - Seminars to Dentists

Here is a Chunk from my New Idea Testing Ezine...
====================

The BEST Definition of a Mastermind Group I've EVER Found is a CASE STUDY.

AND After 24 years of interviewing self made millionaires.

This Munny Mastermind Story IS
Still
The
Best and Clearest
Explanation of Mastermind Munny Making in Action...

**************
How Walter Hailey Made His 1st M-illions S-elling Bread Flour.
**************

The Whole Mastermind Story goes like this...

***Walter Read, "Think And Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill like the Rest of us.
Then took action.

5 foot tall 100 lb - Walter Decided to Form a Mastermind Group with a single goal. To S-ell LOTS and LOTS More Bread Flour to the Owners of Texas Food Stores.

***Walter Invited The Following S-alesmen to his home.

A - Jim's line was Crisco and cooking oil

B - Ralph was a Rep for a Line of Cooking gadgets. Can openers etc

C - Mike had a whole catalog of Canned Fruit for canning. (apples, peaches etc)

D - Eric Specialized in Fast Rising Rolls, sticky buns, muffins in a box

E - Sam had the best selection of species for baking

F - Tom Had Aprons, Chef's Hats, cooking attire

G - Bill Had all sizes, shapes of CookBooks

H - Steve Had Knives Galore

I - Phil Had All the Pots, Pie Pans, Baking Dishes You can imagine

J - Walter Hailey Did Baking Flour - all kinds of Flour

WALTER TOLD THE 9 Men:

If You go Out and s-ell by yourself - You Only S-ell to one store at a time.

BUT - If We Create a Catalog of each Others Products - S-ell All 10 Product Lines Each Of us Has The Power of TEN.

One Man S-ells to 1 Store

or

One Man - S-ells to 10 Stores at a time

VERY ATTRACTIVE The Way Walter Stated MASTERMIND MUNNY MAKING
isn't it?

STATED Another way...

***NINE S-alesmen s-elling FOR YOU - instead of just You.

Walter Worked out a win-win Mastermind Moolah System SO - Profitable to Texas Grocery Store Owners - And Effortless - Cuz Walters MASTERMIND of 10 did all the work.

That The Owners of Grocery Stores

LINED
UP
TO
BUY...

============
============
Munny Making ACTION SUMMARY -

Jim Straw and Walter agree as I see it.

They each had a 1 to 1 Mastermind With Each Person They Dealt With. The
DIFFERENCE was that Walter's 9 men met at his house every morning.

And Jim did his Masterminding - 1 to 1 out of his Joint Venture or phone CONTACTS Book.

Personally.

I've been able to make munny by adapting Walters Case Study. And since
Jim Straw's definition doesn't disagree - I combine the 2 in my mind.

MORE to Adapt and Chew on tho
with The Walter Hailey Mastermind Group Definition I think.

Default Are Women Entrepreneurs Better at MASTERMIND Selling Than Men?

Thank You Dien,

Women seem to do better with THE MASTERMIND Than Men.

Here's my reasoning.

We coach and consult with lots of salespeople/sm biz folks around the world.
And some of the affluent women we Mastermind Ideas with get really QUICK Mastermind Results.

For Example -

SALLY THE CAR SALESWOMAN -

Sally started as a Toyota Salesperson. Called me for ideas.

a - Toronto Dealership puts signs on cars - loads them in a big transporter.
Drives them around town.

b - #1 Caddy Saleswoman calls Male Salesguys clients who say "No."

c - Lotto ticket Thank you Reward to turn strangers into friends

d - 2 Invisible Persuasion Trance Questions (from our Enchanted NLP Sales System)

And a few dozen more proven ideas from car salespeople around the world.

Sally used ONE IDEA to Outsell 22 men and get to #2 in sales in 60 days.

Letter d - is all she used.

(EDITORS NOTE - Sally IS working her way thru the six - 1 hr mp3 audios at 100.00 each - because it looks like she can pass Mr #1 Guy too.)

=====
RALPH THE Cad-cam Artist Architect

Ralph is very underpaid - over-worked - 80Plus hrs a week.

He wanted a Raise.

We advised, "Don't just ASK for a raise. Fill a folder with PROOF that others in your industry with YOUR Job make more.

*Add up the Value of all the different
clients projects you are working on.

*Add up what your BOSS makes on each Project.
*Call your Contact person at each client office. Ask them to write an Endorsement or letter of Recommendation.

***Plus lots more We do to Clients Hired or Promoted using a "How to Make 10 Million Dollars Extra This Year When you Hire Ralph" REPORT.

Ralph did nothing.

He asked his supervisor to ask his boss for a raise. Got 390.00 raise a mo.
GADZOOKS - The Company must owe him a LOT MORE if they volunteered
so much!

THIS WEEK The Women Won The **Make Munny With Mastermind** 1-1 Power
Contest - Hands Down.

Thanks Glenn,

As usual, reading one of your posts is sparking new ideas...

I'm very familiar with Jim Straw's stuff - and I've made money with it...

I didn't know about Walter Hailey. Makes a lot of sense, though!

In fact, it seems like a great formula to implement, in different industries... As Walter Hailey did...

There are a LOT of these "one-or-two person" operations around, who could benefit by implementing an idea like this. But, they'll probably never do it... Maybe they just don't think of it. Or it's too far out of their "comfort zone"...

By making it easy for people to do it, it's a "win-win-win" type of solution, and of course, you can benefit, too...

You've (again) got the wheels spinnin'!

I'm in a funny situation now... I'm doing some advisory work (just started not long ago), for an hourly rate, and doing well at it.

But... while it is a business, it's not the kind of business I was doing before. I'd like to combine them somehow. These ideas are all excellent... Good fuel for the fire! (Or gas for the engine...)

Thanks for sharing these real-deal ideas, Glenn!

Best wishes,

Dien

Default What I Learned from 12 Yr Old Katie Who Just Broke 30 Yr GirlScout COOKIESales Record

Thanks Dien,

21,477 boxes of cookies in 8 weeks.

You can look up Katie Francis from Oklahoma City yourself.

At age 11 - last year Katie did something different.

In 2013 she sold 12,000 boxes of cookies - to break the state record.

Decided to do Three Things Differently.

I - She set a goal to sell 18,100 in 7 weeks (The old record was 18,000 even)
(Cuz of snow - the time was extended for a week.)

II - Katie Did the math and figured out how many hours a day
it would take at ___ Boxes an Hr - to reach her goal.

IF any spot didn't meet the goal - She MOVED.

III - She PLANNED in Advance and called Sponsors so she could raffle off
Hotel rooms and Spa Weekends.

Buy 6 boxes - you can Enter a Raffle to win a 800.00 Resort Vacation.

Buy 12 Boxes - You can Enter the Weekend Spa Vacation Raffle.

THIS
RECORD
Stood for THIRTY YEARS.

So this is not a small accomplishment.

Might be a few ideas we can all adopt.

Thanks,
Glenn

P.S. - Katie plans to BEAT her 2014 Record next year. My Bet is she beats it by
a LARGE # - not just a few boxes.

Hi Glenn,

Another FANTASTIC post... And of course, some great advice many of us could use (me included)!

I do find when I write down things, they are more likely to get done. That includes goals.

If I don't write them down... then what gets done is often everything else, BUT what I wanted to do! (Everything else can include... watching my favorite TV show, surfing the web for interesting "news", scanning Facebook, all that good stuff... which doesn't really help me in the long run!)

By the way, I had a big, big meal on Sunday. Too big. I ate at my sister-in-law's parents' place for an Easter lunch. They are half-Italian, and there was lots of gnocchi. Lots. Very delicious! I ate too much, and spent the next day recovering!

So, sorry for my slow reply...!

(Note to self: try not to eat too much gnocchi next time - no matter how delicious it is!)

I find writing an incredibly powerful tool...

I've also found "tracking" what I'm doing (through writing) to be a powerful tool, too.

What I do is I have a small notebook. When I want to work on something, I write what I’m going to work on, and the time I start working on it in the notebook.

e.g. "Work on article on making money from road rage signs. START 10.23 am"

Then, I work.

If I stop (e.g. if I need a break, have a meal, have to attend to some other chore, etc.), then I write the time I stop working on that item.

e.g. "STOP 11.36 am"

When I start working on it again, I write the time I start on it again.

e.g. "START 12.05 pm"

And so on.

I find this technique really helps me to focus and get stuff done.

I can then look back, and see exactly how many hours I've worked on that project... and how many hours I "wasted" (the "non-work" times) or did other things...

I find I get much more done using this method. Even if the only person who ever sees the notebook is me…

There’s no cheating yourself (as long as what you write down is honest)! Otherwise, it is easy to fool yourself that you’re being "productive" - when you’re not...

Sometimes, you can also scare yourself at how few hours you really worked - especially when you just start using this technique...

Just another idea some might like to try...

Best wishes,

Dien
