STIMULUS RESPONSE Stick or tape STIMULUS on the left side of your monitor. Place RESPONSE on the right. Now, for the net ten days, make note they are there. Time how long you spend online, and where you go and do. BECOME aware that every site you visit is a stimulus...and note your response. KEEP A NOTEBOOK. See, most are unaware of how they are being manipulated, led, controlled or influenced. Do funny cats make you laugh? Does LeBron James give you hope? Do you frequently think, I want that, when you come across an ad? IF you become aware of the overwhelming amount of stimuli your brain receives everyday, and you learn how to build a venturi, to control the flow...then you have also given yourself an answer to your goals achievement. This awareness will help you build a MAP which takes you to your THERE, much faster. If you want people to exchange money for what you have, you simply apply the right stimulus to get a number of responses, a number you know will fulfill your goal. You want to sell 4k a month of an information product, sell ONE training program @ 4k and you're done. Just as easy to sell one as 100, with the correct application of the stimulus to the right person. If it is a 10 buck product, you need 400 sales, 100 a week, 16 a day. Try it. Post these two words up, make an effort to become AWARE, and let me know what, if any impact or affect it has on your thinking, OK? .j |

![]() You want to sell stuff online.
You have a few seconds to catch your prospects ATTENTION. The second you lose their attention, end of sales effort. First thing you MUST know, is where is the prospect coming from? How did they get to your promotion? Answer this, THEN, ask, What sort of STIMULUS can I set up at my INTERSECTION, which will evoke the reader's (listener, viewer) response to want to stay and get more, or to continue reading? If using a HEADLINE, what reaction am I trying to evoke in the reader? Why would they want to keep reading? Does my message match the market? Is the PREOCCUPATIONAL INTERRUPTER charged with emotional appeal or create a curiosity factor high enough to keep them there. Your promotion is A SERIES of stimuli with the intent of keeping them there, and eventually getting an action, a sale or sign up or whatever it is you want them to do. IF any interest is shown, I'll give more info on the whole Stim-Resp model of writing copy and personal influence. For now, just some food for thought. .j Quote:
