Default Mail Order FYI...

For those interested in the dynamics of off-line mail order, I was recently given a price of $660 for a 2 1/8" x 1" ad in The New York Times Magazine (this appears in the Sunday edition of the paper). A pretty good price for a magazine that goes to over 1.1 million people.

Take care,

Mike,

Anyone in particular that you recommend for newspapers and periodicals. I advertise locally and regionally not nationally.

I always wondered about media buyers. Never used one but newspaper sales people drive me crazy with high pressure upsells. I see a lot of tips on forums about copys, mailing lists, layout etc but very little on this topic (the hiring and use of independent media buyers). Any tips or recommendations from you or any of the other regulars would be greatly appreciated.
