![]() Hi,
Link is below. One followup message I liked was: "I made my own darn shower curtain. And it didn't cost me any six thousand bucks. Most important, I did NOT steal the money to buy the materials. It's a pretty bad day for stockholders when CEOs can make the folks who pay $600 for a toilet seat look like pikers." Best, - Boyd http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/730828/posts |

![]() Hey Boyd!
Don't get mad... the more money these people spend on stuff the more money flows through the economy. Think about it... a $6,000 shower curtain was first sold (salemen makes money and the store makes money and the wholesaler makes money and the fabric manufacturer makes money and the textile designer makes money and the sewers make money). Then it had to be delivered (The delivery guy makes money, the gas company makes money providing gas for the delivery vehicle, the car manufacturer makes money selling the vehicle, the tire company makes money providing tires for the vehicle, the government makes money from car licensing, the insurance company makes money from insuring the vehicle and the curtain in transit). And the people in the relative chains (tire store staff, for example) also end up getting a slice. So now the thing is... how can YOU get a slice of this action? Empty a tin of paint on a canvas and sell it as Modern Art to them and tell them it's good? Call yourself an Interior Decorator and just go to town with oddball looking stuff? Learn how to make shower curtains? Michael Ross Something here might make you one of the wealthy people |

![]() Hi,
Actually, one of my multiple streams is going to be selling my original oil paintings at eBay. I already know how to paint a fence or an old chair (I don't mean paint a picture of a fence--I mean slap the paint on the fence itself) and I'm learning how to sell people what they want and how to get traffic. I'll buy an artist's costume at the Salvation Army. What else would I need? Talent? That's a good one..... When I have a painting up at eBay I'll tell the group about it (or would that be a blatant ad?). Best, - Boyd "Mean Old Man" Stone |

You might like this book. Can't remember where I heard about it. Might have been on this forum. "How To Become A Famous Artist and Still Paint Pictures". You can get the PDF version free at the authors web site: http://www.innisart.com/ He covers the points Gordon and I have made in the past about how a passion (painting in this case) becomes a burden after it becomes your job. I enjoyed the book overall. Worth a look. ~ Dan Butler How can you benefit from what I share? |
