Default What readers want?

Dear colleagues,

For those of you having a computer with an internet connection
and planning to start a "Home Base Business",
what are the 3 most requested information and services you
require to start up a successful "Home Base Internet
Business"?

Thanks very much for your thoughts.

P.S. Even 1 will be an “asset” for me.

2 will be really “great”

3 Thank you pals, it will be “perfect”

More than 3 will be a “Bonus” to me. [TIA]

Default I'll take a crack at this....

Hi,

1.) You need the ability to "get started," to take action, to do something despite the fact that it's going to be extraordinarily scary and painful.

2.) You need a way to test ideas and roll out the winners while dropping the dead ducks.

3.) You need hosting and the tools and knowledge to create and upload a website that sells.

Hope this helped............

Best,

- Boyd

Default What do You want?

Nasrat:

Let me get this straight so I know what you're asking...

You want to know from those who PLAN to start a home-based Internet business (that is, those who do not yet currently have a successful Internet business), what they require to make their business successful, right?

If I am reading your question wrong I'm sorry. The fact is, those who are planning to start a business don't know what they need to make it successful because they haven't tested anything yet and so they can't answer your question.

If you want to know what it takes because you are planning to start a home-based Internet business, then here is what you need...
[*]A product to sell that people want.
[*]A website to sell it from.
[*]A way to accept payment.
[*]A way to reach the people who want your product to let them know they can get it from you.

Parts 2 through 4 are easy. There is plenty of webpage creation software and plenty of templates freely available to use. Clickbank, PayPal and Revecom can handle your payment processing. And ezines and search engines should take care of getting the word out about your goods or services.

Will having those three in place make you successful?

Not necessarily. You need to TEST your marketing - right message to the right people at the right time. And you need to take care of Number 1... selling what people want... that's the hard part and what brings most people undone.

Is that the sort of thing you were looking for?

Default What kind of online business can you start?

Hi Nasrat,

I'm not sure that I fully understand what you are asking....

If you're asking what kind of information or service you can sell online, then the answer is HUGE! If there's a group of people in the world interested in it who have money to spend, then most likely you can sell it.

I think the key, however, is to focus on a niche market - don't try to be everything to everybody. Instead, find a small highly targeted group, and try to satisfy their wants better than anyone else does. That's a common pathway to success. :)

You could start by considering your own hobbies and your own life. Do you collect anything? Maybe you can provide a product or service to other collectors. Or are you a member of a particular group of some kind? Perhaps you can provide a product or service to others who are like yourself. The fact is, the possibilities are mind-bogglingly huge.... :)

P.S. As you may know, we provide explicit new business ideas every week in The Great Ideas Letter.... Subscribing will probably help to stimulate your mind to generate new business ideas yourself.
