![]() Hey Guys,
what are your most highly recommended books and materials on copywriting? There seem to be so much out there. I recently came across a "Copywriting Protege Program" by Carl Galetti(Sp?). Has anyone done this program and would you recommend it? Feel free to email me privately with your thoughts Don |

![]() Hi Don,
I just finished reading "Make Your Words Sell" by Dr. Ken Evoy and Joe Robson and it is extremely good. I've read several books on copywriting, but, this is the best I've seen. > Hey Guys, > what are your most highly recommended books > and materials on copywriting? ![]() Don,
I highly recommend Bob Serling's "Small Business, "BIG" Profits" and "How to Write Million Dollar Ads" marketing manuals/books. They are full of marketing tips and as well as the how and why's to make your marketing successful - for less than $100. The manuals cover both on-line and off-line strategies that will work for any business, whether you have a service product or consumer product. Bob does not dwell on the theories but gets down to the how-to of writing effective ads. You can read more about them at: http://www.tlenterprises.com Good Luck, Todd L. ![]() Don,
Most of the copywriting courses you'll find out there are missing one essential ingredient: feedback from an expert copywriter that lets you know whether or not you are actually learning and applying what you've read. Time and time again I've heard one of my copywriting proteges tell me during the course of one of our live, one-on-one "lessons," "Oh, I knew that. My gosh, I totally forgot to apply that principle here. Let me go back and do it again." There's a huge difference between 1)knowing something intellectually, 2)being able to apply it and then 3)knowing it in your bones so that you apply it without even thinking about it. Consider looking for a copywriting instruction course (like mine) that not only imparts #1 but also #2 and gets you on the road to level #3, which is where you really want to be.
