Default Map Making Software

Hello....I'm looking for a program that can draw lines and curve them so I can put together a MAP.

I've looked at "FreeHand". Spendy and a big learning curve.

There's got to be a cheap and simple "Drawing" program available somewhere.

Any suggestions?

Thanks......

Hi Don,

Do you need it done on a computer?

Two thoughts occur to me:

1. Hire a helicopter for an hour and take some arial shots. You can scan them into yopur computer and work them up in any way you want. The helicopter ride will probably be cheaper than some of the top end graphics programs.

2. Roughly sketch out your map freehand and then hire an art college student to make a nice 'painted' map for you. If the kid is any good you can add all kinds of personalised stuff on it that a computer program would struggle with.

Just some thoughts.
