![]() I thought this was an interesting article.... A recent research study by Harvard researchers suggests the "food pyramid" we've probably all been taught - is wrong....
From what I can gather from this article, if you follow the food pyramid, you're probably eating too many (starchy) carbohydrates - things like bread, pasta, rice - and too few fruits and veges. I think a lot of the ills people have nowadays - at least in "richer" countries - are due to diet. So I thought I'd share this article here, since it might be beneficial.... ![]() It's no wonder that more and more people are turning to professionals like natropaths and wellness advisors to help them boost their health levels.
Having studied and practiced as a wellness advisor for the past year, I'm constantly amazed at how little practical knowledge most people have about such a critical issue in their life; their health. Using the food pyramid as an example, there have been many studies and diets, such as the Atkins diet, that have disproved it's validity. Most of it simply comes down to common sense...I'm not going to go in depth on the subject (unless everyone wants to read an entire essay). Anyone who wants to achieve success in their career/business life should definately take a daily interest in their health. Speaking from personal experience, having run multiple businesses myself, I can vouch that it is far easier and less stressful to handle the workload when you are in good health. > I thought this was an interesting > article.... ![]() Wow, Dien...
You read Harvard research papers!!??? (Or, articles about them..) I saw the same thing on NBC news with Tom Brokaw. A lot less boaring too!! :) However, I admit that I'm spending a lot less time paying attention to a "food pyramid", and a lot more time looking into herbal suppliments, etc. At my age, I figure that's a good way to make my last few years my best few years!! In fact, I recommend reading a book called "Lessons from The Miracle Doctors" by Jon Barron. 'Bout 170+ pages. Buy it, or download it from the net free. ![]() Yeah, if you happen to notice the OLD food pyramid was based with all of the FARM SUBSIDY foods... Now, the FDA is worried about our fat content??? Just goes to prove that a computer isn't the ONLY thing required to really screw up the country. The Government does quite nicely by itself...
