Internet Connection Research

Hello everyone,
I was wondering if I could ask you all a question. I would like to do a little research on internet connections and especially in the US. So do you have a dial up or dsl connection, what speed do you have and, finally, what kind of payment plan do you have?
Personally, I have a 24-7 DSL connection at a speed of 512/128kb. The cost is something like $60 a month. I live in Denmark.
If you know any websites stating statistics for US internet connection data, I would be very appreciative if you could tell me.
