Default My Criteria...

I've set up, run and sold (or kept) a lot of different businesses in the last 10 years.

I've been noticing in the last year or so that more and more people who I've been running into are asking me about my internet company Dogproblems.com and my marketing site that sells to Martial Arts owners, MartialArtsMarketing.com.

I think this is because of the biz. model criteria which I set up, from the start. (More on this, later.)

I've been toying with the idea of putting together a marketing info. product that reveals how I do what I do.

Not a "I'm the guru" product, but rather a "This is how I turned my hobby into an info-product empire and how you can, too" CD set. If I get the impression that people would be interested in my story.

Well... maybe "empire" is too bold of a word.

Whatever.

Anyway, the point that I wanted to make (the original point that got me started on this ramble) is that there is one criteria that I think is VERY IMPORTANT that needs to be hammered on. And that is:

MAKING SURE YOU'RE STRUCTURING YOUR BUSINESS SO THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO CONSTANTLY *** WORK *** TO GET THE CASHFLOW.

In other words, if you're going to hassle with setting up a new company, make sure that you can automate the product creation and delivery.

I got married in Las Vegas, last week. I remember sitting around in the side room off the chapel, waiting for my bride, thinking to myself, "It's really amazing times we're living in that I can be exchanging vows, and at the very same moment, have cash flowing into my bank account."

During the entire honeymoon, I only spent 10 minutes a day checking on the sites, and I still averaged $450 a day. (Of course, I had 1,600 e-mails that took me 20 minutes to download when I finally returned home!) Pretty cool.

Anyway... my point is: If I were running a news site... or a content/subscription site... or something that required my personal superivision... then the cash flow would have ground to a halt when I was on vacation.

Make sure you have built in mechanisms for automating your business, that you incorporate from the start of your business plan.

Just somethin' to chew on.

- Adam.

P.S. I'm on pain killers for a migraine right now, so if there is any way I can go back and edit this post in the morning when I'm sober and realize how ridiculous I probably sound, please Dien.... let me know.

I think this is something you should approach. But perhaps it would be worthwhile to set up a survey on xoomerang or one of the other survey sites and ask folks on this and other marketing boards to take take the survey. 'Course you don't really know how it will do until people vote with their dollars.

By CD Set I hope you mean video…as in DVD.

You should be proud of your empire.....you started it from basically nothing right??…and now look where you are!

> Whatever.

Indeed

Okay…..now I'm getting excited

Exchanging your vows AND having CASH flowing into your bank account!!!.....Good God man, there's a hot market RIGHT THERE!!….Please tell me HOW…..

I like the...$1000 a day and no email's formula...don't you?, Still what you’re doing is WORKING!!!

Exactly.....that's why starting a subscriber site, member's site is often asking for trouble...especially when there's a NAME attached...like yours of course......Imagine a site where you could have subscriber’s paying to access the information? product on the site without there being a need for that person (YOU) to have to contribute!

> Make sure you have built in mechanisms for

THE PLAN....is the most important part...the more detailed...the better...why do most people fail???....no plan….no detailed plan…no underwear…ooopps sorry, wrong forum!

Ridiculous???...Indeed.....You my ironically named friend are a prime example of someone coming onto the web years ago...with a plan to offer something of value that is both popular and in demand.....Your knowledge is both understated and very valuable......My suggestion?......

Take all of you knowledge about success within you industries and generally and get it on video (DVD) and market it online.

I want to see YOU telling ME how you made it...I am sick and tired of ALL the BS programs, ezines, member's sites, links, audios, forum posts, emails, blah, blah, blah.....there is hardly ever any REAL human’s (online) showing us anything anymore…just a constant stream of advertising GOO….I want Mr. Real Human, to show me in detail, in person (on DVD) how to do it!!

Make a difference.....present yourself...the success is YOU…..show me you!!!

I want to see real people telling me how to SUCCEED!!

Kevin.

I didn’t write this on pain killers……I was drunk the whole time….but you have to admit that what I said was…..FANTASTIC!!!……

Yep….that’s what I thought………8>)

Default Re: Your Focus Becomes Your Reality

Kevin,

Thanks for the feedback.

I was actually thinking "Audio CD" ... but you think that video DVD has more credibility? I can do video, instead.
