![]() I want to share an interesting bit of information I found the other day relating to web surfer consumer behaviour.
Did you know that a websites credibility is judged most by 'real world feel' (how well the web business conveys it's off line presence e.g photos of staff, offices, real street address etc). Second is professional look, followed by the credentials and trustworthiness of the webmaster/business. This kind of goes against what most webmasters believe... that testimonials, endorsements etc are the way to build credibility. In fact, these factors are still important when proving a claim (believability), just not as important as real world feel and professional look in building overall credibility. Go figure huh! This all came from a Stanford University study I came across at www.webcredibility.com Check it out and tell us what you think! I'd be interested in people's opinions of this. ![]() Very interesting, Lenny. I had guessed as much over the years. And yet while jumping around in the online world, I never took the time to address that or focus much upon it. My loss.
Once again, great info. Success, Erik Lukas |
