The "Which-Pitch" comes thru agin....

From Don Alm...out on the "Battlefield"....making Sales Calls on Pizza Delivery stores;

My first call today was at 1:30 in the afternoon. (Oregon had Frozen Highways today with "20 degree" temps. Didn't want to take a chance on sliding into something with Black Ice")

I wanted to catch this "Independent" and give him the "first-right-of-refusal".

I happened to catch him in....whipped out my Samples...whipped out my handy-dandy "Pitch Book"....showed him WHERE these were going...showed him my "3-Options" in my "Which-Pitch" (Offering "Something and Something" rather than "Something and Nothing")

And he bought the BIG ONE. This time to the tune of $5,000 from ONE Pizza Outfit!

When offering;....... "I can put an Ad for YOUR Pizzas in 250 Rooms".....
.....as the "Main Benefit"...to an "Independent Pizza Guy"....
....I "Show different price Options"....(in line with the way I've sold stuff for MANY years).....a "90 Day, 6 Month and 12 Month" Option".

The "12 Month Option" does not happen often BUT...when it does...it'sa "Nicea"!

"250 rooms for $20 a Room for a Year"....and he took it!

ONE Call and "Wham-Bam-Thank-Ya-Maam".....DA Smiles All Da Way To Da Bank!

What happened to all the other posts that were with this thread yesterday?

I was thinking about your stands. Have you thought about about using a hard, coated card stock type of paper, etc. to forgoe the stands?

Or maybe just have a local printer print up the sheets on heavy, heavy duty stock that is not available for home use?

Don has pointed out in the past, and I agree, that by not having the "bulk" plastic stand in this case, these things would never be put back where they were intended to be displayed by the guest and often times would not be replaced by housekeeping.

There is a great way to get the ads printed by professional photo labs for about 20 cents per side that will give them a professional look and can be inserted into the stands.

Simple and easy.
upload graphic,
send to printer,
pick up 200-300 professional photo lab prints in about an hour for 20 cents per side.
place in stands and deliver to hotel.

Cheap and easy service.
(yes woody, I understand that vendors are used in the daily ops of most businesses)

Why not sell pizza places on the idea of building a motel on top of the pizza location, I bet the majority of motel guests would walk downstairs and eat pizza.

Better yet, do the Starbucks idea and use unused space at the hotel and set up a little pizza place or at least pizzas for the guests on an order-by-order basis.

That is becoming a very popular way to do things around here, lot of Subway sandwich shops now have locations in gas stations.

One grocery store here has take out Chinese setup near the exit.
