Use your computer and printer to make some outstanding business cards with your contact info on them, if you're up to it. If not, order some from the local print shop on a rush basis. Use subtle colored stock and black ink to save bucks and get a two-color effect.

DIY: Go to a local print shop or stationers and buy some colored card stock...something not screaming but attractively subtle. Have it cut to 8.5 x 11 sheets. Use a basic graphics program (lots of printers come with the software to make business cards). Find something that illustrates your business such as a small drawing, picture, or cartoon to attract attention. Design your card. Print. Cut them out and you're all set.

Good luck,

As you just have one day - there is not much preparation for you to do.

Couple of ideas:

1. Create and sell hotsheets. Could be on how to sell in your city. Or on the topic of the expo.

2. Spray print a few tee-shirts in a night and sell them in the parking lot.

3. Just collect brochures from all the stalls - and see if you can earn some finders fees later on...

Whacky idea - maybe you can pull it off - maybe you cant...

i. Contact a posh nearby restaurant - which is not right around the corner (3-5 minutes away on foot is a good idea). And ask them how they would like a flood of diners... and if they would give the diners free appetizers. You get a fee per diner you send their way.

ii. If they agree - you go and print business cards that say "Free Appetizer at _______" You also create a board that says people can exchange their used expo tickets for these business cards.

iii. You go to the parking lot and exchange the expo tickets for the appetizer cards. And then collect your fee from the restaurant.

Profit potential is not that high - but could be a quick $300-600...
