Default A business founded, based, and built on Failure!

I wouldn't believe it if I didn't see it....

But here's how someone is has started a business based on failure, failure, failure.....

Failure magazine!

Read a review of it here....

Then go to the Failure magazine web site below, where you can read about failures in all walks of life, and even discover "this day in failure" to learn about famous failures of history....

They say you learn more from your failures than from your successes....

Will Failure succeed? :)

Default While normally completely contradictory to my beliefs......

I really enjoyed reading the thoughtfully written, introspective articles at failure.com.

I was giving it the "cynical, look at that loser" test. If it took that stance, it would have received a thumbs down.

Instead, I read three articles discussing different aspects and ideas around "less than successful" ventures....I read about a race horse that has never won a race, the Corvair (my neighbors had one! Loved that car!) and Christianity.

I learned a little from each article, smiling in recognition. Being a Christian, that article is one I will send along to fellow Christians. The articles biggest complaint is one that I have as well in regards to my Christian brethren.

Thanks for bringing this site to our attention, Dien! I will have to remember to go back.

With Purpose and Passion,

JULIE

Default Julie, thank you for being 'salt' . . .

Julie,

Because of your comments concerning the article on christianity, I took the time to read it even though I am extremely busy -- zipping around in preparation for getting out of town for the weekend.

What a really great article! I am going to make it a point to get by a bookstore this weekend and pick up a copy of "Roaring Lambs" by Bob Briner. I certainly feel that it will re-inspire me in my artistic work as well.

Thank you very much, Julie, for mentioning this article in your post. Otherwise, I may have missed something that is very worthy of also passing along to my friends.

Sincerely,
Amber

Default Finding the diamond in a pile of shattered glass

Julie and Amber, I'm glad you liked the articles at Failure magazine.....

They are quite positive for articles about "failure".... I think reading these articles can be good "training" for those who might think that failure is all "bad"....

(It's kind of like what you wrote earlier, Julie, about failures being good lessons..... :)

Many of these articles are a kind of proof of the statement that "every cloud has a silver lining" !

And yes, the article about the "failure" of Christianity I thought would be appreciated by many here, as it's a positive sort of stimulation.... :)
