Dramatic Reduction in My Hits ... ???

Hello,

I wonder if anyone has any idea of what could have caused a MAJOR reduction in my hits.

In the last 2 weeks, I have had several days where I only had 2-7 hits a day. On one day, I had zero hits.

Since I don't know what the problem(s) might be, I don't know how to fix it.

Any ideas, suggestions, or comments will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Diane,

As far as I could tell, your site seems to be working alright....

It's hard to know what could be happening -- here are some possibilities off the cuff....

* It's possible that something went wrong with the software that's counting your visits.... If that's the case, then people are still coming but for some reason they're not being counted....

* If many of your visitors come through search engines, maybe you're no longer ranked highly on the search engines (or at all) ? Sometimes sites drop off the search engine lists for reasons unknown, and you need to submit the site again....

* If most of your visitors come through various links around the web, maybe some of those links have disappeared somehow, or maybe something went wrong with a site that linked to your web site?

Well, those are some possibilities off the cuff.... Maybe some others have further suggestions?
