Default I can help. But you won't like it

Send me $1 per lead and I'll send you as many leads as you can handle. I'll give you their name and phone number and address. Good enough?

Of course, I'll just send you names out of the phone book.

But hey. You only wanted cheap leads. And that's what those names would be. Totally useless of course. But nonetheless. It fits your criteria.

The COST of the leads is NOT important if you are in front.

If the cost of the leads is putting you out backward (financially), then you have four choices:

1: Increase your conversion rate of existing leads.

2: Reduce the number of useless leads by better targetting - which will also increase your conversion rate but may cost you more per leads (which you won't know until you test).

3: Get cheaper leads.

4: Drop the project.

You say you KNOW you can get cheaper leads. Which begs the question... if you KNOW you can get cheaper leads, WHY are you paying the higher price?

Of course, you may just feel you can get cheaper leads. If that is the case then that is a whole different story.

And if CHEAPER is what you want, I already gave you the solution at the top of the post. That is about as accurate a help as anyone can give you based on your question.

On the other hand, if you want BETTER leads instead of just CHEAPER leads, then you need to provide more information.

WHAT are you selling? HOW are you generating the leads you have now?

Default Re: I can help. But you won't like it

Michael,

Personally, in my mail order business, I make the choice of having less leads, but those leads are more qualified.

I usually will follow up about five times to leads that I have generated through my ads. I don't want to spend this much time and money on "tyre kickers".

That's why I try to qualify my leads in my ads. This can be done by simply removing my FREECALL number and replacing it with a normal number. At least they are paying for the call.

I also try and zoom in and target my prospects with my headline. We all know that headlines are supposed to get attention, but what a lot of advertisers seem to miss is your headline has got to "Get the attention of those you are targeting ... not just anyone."

I recently put a sales letter together for a client who sells an anti-snoring device and its working out great for him.

The ad used to get the leads was simple, nothing out of the ordinary, and it's no big secret. But it targets exactly the people who can use his product. My headline I used was simply... "Important News For Snorers."

More leads? Sure, that would be nice. But only if they are qualified, only if they are interested in what I am selling and not just chasing another "freebie".
