![]() Why aren't more people doing this? Printing a coated type discount credit card with say even 30 best visited places in your town and promote them to various organizations as a fast quck fundraisier for them to made quick easy money? I would think there are so many organizations to approach besides schools, organizations, clubs and most of all churches(you know how many there are with beg congregations) I think they would be the best to promote for you as churches always need to raise money for something. Perhaps charge $10 for the card, I do all the work and they just take order from their facility. It could go on and on , all the money from so many places, and I would have no ads to place.
My questions is this....How approachable are these places, what makes them say yes or no? It seems like here schools go with the same things year after year, the entertaininment book, selling magazines, wrapping paper, cookie dough, its the same stuff. How could I test the market before I even invest all my time and select and visit some of the restaurants and place, to make sure it could work? Do I just contact a few and tell them about a great fundraising idea and how do I approach it? This is my first post and I am totally new to this, so please bear with me. Thank you, I'd like to hear some comments. |

![]() Thanks Phil, I did read alot of that. It was helpful. Its funny though, where I live no one has done this. Just common sense, I wonder if schools and churches would be more likely to say okay or mostly say outright no, just because it is something foreign to them? I would think they should want to give something else a try, but maybe they only have so many selling events in one school year. But churches however, I think there is more of a market. Not only could the pastor announce this fundraiser to raise money for their food pantry, whatever it may be, it could also be in their bulletins etc. What is just your opinion Phil on yes's and no's?

![]() Cheryl,
My yes and no comment meant many business ideas can work very well... But Unfortunately so many never apply and actually develop & work their ideas... As long as you get into a business that works well with your interests, abilities and fits into your cup of tea... It's Definitely worth considering... The previous links I posted have a few people that have worked similar type of businesses... Might be a good idea to contact them to get a few more ideas on putting things together... I've included a few other resources related to Church Marketing for a little more food for thought... Best of luck as you get things going... And Don't forget the SowPub archives... Great for Brainstorming... http://www.sowpub.com/forum/archive/index.php/f-3.html http://www.fundraiserinsight.org/art...ndraisers.html http://www.churchmarketingsucks.com/ http://www.churchmarketingsucks.com/archives.html http://www.breakthroughchurch.com/ Should keep you busy for awhile... ![]() Phil |

![]() Phil thanks for posting the links. I am still learning a little here and working to get some more targets into my site area but the reads are good motivation. It seems many think anything online nowadays is easy peasy when it still takes just as much dedication and hard work as offline companies do.
