![]() Dien and I are going to reactivate the Seed Zine. The first issue is due out next Thursday, Jan. 22. If you haven't signed up (it's FREE) yet, Dien will have a form ready for you in the next few days.
Also, Dien is considering a makeover of SowPub...here's your chance for some input. Maybe we'll have a contest to find new designs or something like that...maybe. This "change" coincides with our ReDedication to the reason for SowPub to start with...a place for ENTREPRENEURS to hang out and discuss just about anything on their minds. The new improved and more tightly focused Seed Zine will be published twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays and will include our most recent research on a variety of issues. I like the NON html zines, how about you? I hope Dien chooses a simple format, and I'm sure we'll load it with content. The new Seed Zine will have some new sections, some totally unrelated to business...because there are other "entrepreneurial" pursuits besides chasing the dollar...that may appear to be an oxymoron to a purist...but in my definition of Entrepreneurship, it is about taking a RISK. The payoff doesn't have to be money or ROI, many not for profit agencies are doing great work and they began with one person who took the risk to bring the idea to fruition...so we'll be looking at areas other than pure business...although make no mistake...it will be mostly BUSINESS oriented. So, I'm excited about this new old venture. Dien is too. We've got some remarkable information for you, some incredible content and even some sensational promotions weaved in to get you to part with your money and pad our wallets...as any good business venture should do. If you have suggestions for the Seed Zine, we'd love to hear from you. Gordon Jay Alexander |

Thanks LindaC, We want the Seed Zine to be practical. useful and valuable. So we're going to focus in on a few targeted concepts...but we may start out with a wider variety and then hone in on what the readers want. I've gotten a few good ideas via email for some general Sow Pub improvements and I'll pass those along to Dien. Thanks everyone who sent your ideas in. Exciting times. A new president. A new year. A new Seed Zine. YEA. Gordon Jay Alexander |

![]() Hi, Gordon - Best for 2009
![]() I'm looking forward to the seedzine - did I "hear" you say Dien's considering updating SOWPUB?? - er, my only (and very minor suggestion) is to add a redirect for those folks who type in http://www.sowpub.com/forums and end up at a blank page instead of http://www.sowpub.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=2 The truth is, I always come here directly rather than looking at the front page of the site - except when I'm away from my own 'puter and can't remember the url. Hmm, makes me think that your main navigation menu might be incorporated into your vbulletin template ![]() Margaret

Thanks Margaret, We'll keep that in mind. It may be more about the look, to bring it up to the 2009 standard...and the SeedZine...it could be very basic and simple...which we all like... OR, it could be a portal into more meat and potatoes. We'll probably be in "Beta" test through February. Gordon Jay Alexander |

![]() Looking forward to the seedzine...where do we sign up?
If you want to improve the appearance and function of sowpub, might I suggest that it be more user-friendly as in not having to scroll through tons of ads and google B.S. to get to the first post? Entrepreneurs are BUSY people and, if one checks in here several times to follow a thread in hopes of some answers or whatever, it gets to be a huge time waster. I like the current message format and appreciate not having a bunch of screaming icons and flashing things in my face. What those things do to those of us with astigmatism or other visual problems isn't printable here! I avoid them like the plague they are. Along the same lines, anything that follows me down the page sends me away very quickly...too aggravating for words! Hope something here is helpful. I enjoy coming here and even participating when I have something to say. Best wishes, Sandi Bowman |
