Default Brief break from doom and gloom...the ol NPGS

Also posted at Warrior Forum.

SUPER mini-course on IM which produces results.
A “SYSTEM” which has withstood the test of time.

As of this morning, you can buy the book where this “System” is completely laid out for you for ONE buck plus shipping... ONE Dollar...search for “7 Steps to Freedom II”....but a WARNING...this book is dry, boring and like a college textbook.

That being said, the Net Profit Generation System (NPGS) detailed in this book has been used by 3 different Entrepreneurs to each build 100+ million dollar a year businesses which employ hundreds of people.

Other Entrepreneurs have used the NPGS to build smaller companies or to achieve their American Dream of Financial Freedom.

Today, I'm going to show you how to use the NPGS to further your IM efforts.

There are four parts to the NPGS:

Prospect
Product
Promotion
Media

Each part is equally important. You need to have all 4 components to be 'STRONG'...one weak link and your profits plummet.

ALL success with the NPGS begins with the PROSPECT. The concept is simple, you want to find existing buyers. You do NOT want to find a product first, you want to find a “market” first.

A high quality prospect (often erroneously referred to as a “niche”) is someone who has already purchased a similar product, or has made many similar purchases or makes them in multiples...that is, goes from a 19.95 product buy to a 47, then 97 dollar buy...or buys several at a time.

It is only after you have identified BUYERS, do you want to find, create and/or acquire PRODUCT.

Once you have PRODUCT, you will need a way to PROMOTE this product to your Prospect. The PROMOTION is determined by the MEDIA you will use. Since we're on the Internet and talking mostly about Internet Marketing, I'll keep my examples to IM.

OK. Now let's look at the NPGS in action on the Internet. I teach people to start with their own passions, interests, backgrounds, knowledge and experiences. They may not end up there, but it is the best place to start from, in my opinion.

Say you love Golf. You are a passionate golfer. So you think you would like to sell products to this huge “market”. The problem is, it is TOO huge of a market and you want to look for “niches” within that market, however, once you have identified a niche, you need to find the BUYERS within that niche...a none-too-small of a detail that gets left out of many of the “niche marketing” works.

Say you and Dad are golf buddies. You notice Dad and his cronies have aches and pains and golf is getting harder for them. You've identified a “niche”...Senior Golfers.

But knowing there are millions of Seniors playing golf does not create a quality PROSPECT. You have to look for BUYERS.

So, after doing your market research (not enough time or space to get into that here), you have found products being sold which reduce pain in the JOINTS. You have found that Senior golfers are buying tons (millions of dollars) of joint pain relief. Tens of thousands are paying every month for supplements, gimmicks and ointments to help relieve their pain.

Now you have a QUALITY PROSPECT. Your research has shown you this market exists, it is huge, there are many players in it (never a concern to Entrepreneurs using the NPGS, in fact, it helps)...and millions of dollars are spent. Time to get your slice of the pie.

So you have a quality PROSPECT. Now you need a quality PRODUCT to offer to them. Want to get rich quick? Sell a supplement on “Auto Ship” where their credit cards get dinged every month and a bottle of supplements are sent. Most supplements have incredible mark ups...a 39.95 bottle may cost 3 or 4 bux and there are dozens of PRIVATE LABEL companies willing to help you create your brand.

Anyhow, you could find a Joint Pain relief product which has an affiliate program with it...and then you would simply plug your PROSPECT into their PRODUCT.

But, you still need some sort of PROMOTION. If you are an affiliate, you can use the Promotion of company you are an affiliate for, now you have to send quality traffic to that site. ONE way to do this is to offer a FREE Report, or a FREE auto responder series. It could be something like...101 Places Senior Golfers can Play for FREE...or a golf improvement report, how to hit further drives, etc.

This is used to CAPTURE potential PROSPECTS, you don't know their quality but with affiliate marketing it becomes a numbers game...getting eyeballs on sites with promotions or getting people to sign up, to OPT IN... is a tested and proven method which still works.

Your PROMOTION could be a stand alone website which gives a “sales pitch” directly to the Senior golfer, whom you may have paid for, via Pay Per Click or with Google Ads, or with a banner or link from a popular Senior Golf web site. A sales pitch website is dependent on a steady stream of TARGETED traffic.

A Promotion that converts [prospects to buyers is NOT an easy thing to create, however, and this is where you either get some copywriting skills or buy some copywriting skills.

IF YOU have a weak Promotion, you will have weak profits. All FOUR of the components must be strong to insure strong profits.

The MEDIA has changed and continues to...today, the most popular IM choices are Web Sites, Social Media, Mobile and email.

Email is still vibrant and when used properly can create very fast income streams for you.

You have to match the Media with the where the prospect is likely to visit...your research shows that Seniors are more likely to use Search Engines and visit Web Sites and not yet have reached the “tipping point” in either social media or mobile...but they all have email. In other words, your golden prospects are not yet using Twitter, FaceBook or their cell phones, or pads to find golf information. That day is coming soon, but today, your research shows email and web sites are better Media.

So, you might consider an Auto Responder campaign where you send them 10 tips for Seniors, and within each tip is a link to your sales page or your affiliate page.

When the NPGS was first developed, the Internet didn't even exist. The Media were TV, radio, direct mail, newspapers and magazines. We still have those, plus all the modern media mentioned above and even new ones added yearly.

So, the NPGS has four parts:

PROSPECT- You look for BUYERS of products with a high passion index “starving crowd” or a “hungry market”... (terms coined by the late Gary Halbert who had much input into the NPGS)
PRODUCT- You match the product to the above Buyers (Entities with money to spend on your products)
PROMOTION- You have to “sell” the product in some way (Copywriting is ONE key)
MEDIA - You have to place your Promotion in the right place and at the right time (Market Research determines this)

I've given you a specific example, Senior Golfers. You could break this down even further, into men and women. By location, FL, TX, CA for example. By skill level. And as you break down your buyers into smaller and smaller groups you can become much more TARGETED with your Promotion which will resonate with your Prospect at the time your Promotion crosses his/her path.

Where I've used Senior golfers, plug in your own “niche” you want to profit from and use the NPGS four part formula for success.

This is a quick MINI course which may help you to focus or refocus your IM efforts on profitable steps and assist you in managing your time to insure maximum profits in minimum time.

See, this is a real system. A tested and proven system used to build huge companies and a system which has helped scores of people achieve success. Use it as a guideline, a “cheat” sheet on IM or as an outline for your next IM project.

The NPGS is based on solid, real-life business principles, which so many IM beginner's lack. It is hard to build your IM castle on the sands of hope and, in some cases, despair. Use real-life, tested and proven systems with a track record of success and use your noodle to make your boodle.

If you have questions about the NPGS, ask away, I'll do my best to answer them all.

I own and keep referring back to that book. It is the best material written on a self sustaining business I've ever read. When you study franchise businesses, Ben's book is the explanation.

If you want to know how a franchise businesses works read Ben's book. Even though he isn't writing about franchise prototype businesses, you can easily make the connection.

If you are not into setting up a business to be self sustaining through a series of systems, don't read this book. You will be bored out of your mind.

I've actually read all 600+ pages all the way through 4 times, but referred back to specific sections hundreds of times.

Ben may come across paranoid but in all reality he's no different than Ray Kroc was with McDonald's.

Net Profit Generation System is something to really study, but the more I've read the book the more I'm convinced that it is the foundation and any system built must refer back to the foundation to keep the business self sustaining.

Default Woody, people hate the daily mundane of business...

but, tested and proven ways of doing things, no matter how boring they may be...produce profits. Everybody jumped on the "systems" band wagon...either the 4 hour guy, or the purple cow guy or the Work the System guy (names left off on purpose, I know who they are)...

but, I've yet to read any book that lays out all the systems a business needs like Ben laid them out in 7 Steps. Yea, it's boring to read about the 72 steps in a product assembly system...but...

Good for you for referring to the "manual" on using systems to build a business.

Default Gordon, I have to confess...

all this talk about the book, I went right over to the book shelf, picked it up and I'm starting to read it all the way through it for the 5th time.

For me it's a page turner! No joke.
