QR Codes are fascinating and I am still amazed at all that can be accomplished with them.

I read where one man was using them in print advertisements for a local business. He was helping as a marketing consultant. He suggested putting QR codes in the local newspaper on their ads. Once scanned the person would then be taken to a video which gave a lot of detailed information, almost like a walking tour. If the person was interested in more information, they were encouraged to email or text their number. Once they did that, the business was alerted immediately and a follow-up (with an obvious hot prospect) was made on the spot.

Email, texting, QR codes, video and mobile friendly websites make for many interesting ways to market. In my area we see the QR code from time to time. However, many businesses seem to be ignoring or just not aware of what they can do.
