![]() Hey.....excuse me BUT....I'm STILL an "Entroopeener"! I've spent my entire life on ....finding and Implementing NEW promotion ideas for Small Biznesses (www.midasreports.com)
and wondering .....whether the Promo Ideas I came across......would work in MY area for MY bizness (Retail Antique Shoppe) So....I found MANY ways to promote our Antique Shoppe AND.....also found many ways for OTHER biznesses to promote and market THEIR biznesses. So.....along the way, I've gotten many "Students" whom I've inspired to.... "Find a NEED, and Fill It!" My reason for this Post today is because THREE of my "Students" have recently, within the last 2 weeks, have Put In Practice, a program I taught them.....which is "FSBO BUX" Hey! There are MANY .....HOME Owners....TODAY who WANT to SELL their homes! For whatever reason.....they want to SELL their HOME! They do NOT want to List with a Real Estate Agent because they DON'T want to pay 6% of the sale to "Someone Else"! ($9,000 on a $150,000 Sale..etc)! So.....they find a website like "Zillow.com"...or, "Owners.com"....etc......where they can snap some photos of their House....upload them and "WAIT" for a Potential Buyer to call. Well.....Photos are fine BUT.....they DON'T bring out the "Emotion" that a VIDEO with MUSIC can bring out. So.....my "Entroopeneerial" mind says; "Hey! Why don't I grab those photos the FSBOS have taken AND spent the TIME ....UPloading to "FSBO Sites" and, turn the photos into VIDEOS.....with Emotional Music AND..... get these Videos RANKED.....FOR THE ADDRESS?.....so that when someone looking for a House to buy ......types in the ADDRESS of the House For Sale by ....."The OWNER" of the house.....up comes a House For Sale BY THE OWNER! YOU Kiddn' ME! Home Owners wanting to SELL and House Hunters wanting to Buy.....WITHOUT enlisting REALTORS.....is a HUGE Moneymaker! So...what brought THIS Topic up today was 3 of my "students" just reported to me, this morn, that they've made BOO COO BUX the last few weeks by.... .....Right-Clicking" Photos off "FSBO" sites and putting them into a file, then .....making a Video with these Photos, with Emotional Background MUSIC .....sending an Email to the HOME OWNERS with the "Subject Line", "RE: Your home at "123 Main" (A POWERFUL .....REASON TO OPEN THE EMAIL!) Side Note: to get "email owners to OPEN their Emails.....you MUST offer a STRONG REASON WHY.....they should OPEN....YOUR.....email! We do this by putting the ADDRESS (Re: 123 Main ) of their Home they're wanting to SELL in the SUBJECT LINE! Then.....when our Prospects OPEN our emails they see; "Hi.....I've made a Video of the property you're trying to sell at 123 Main and to see my video....just go to Google and type in "123 Main" If you'd like more info.....Click the Link OR.....if you'd like me to Take Down the Video.....just let me know" Anyways.....WE are getting "House-Owners" who've taken the TIME to take Photos of their Homes.....UpLoad them to a FSBO site.....to PAY US for the Video we made for them to get MORE interest in their Property. ![]() I once did this idea for a resort, made a video. The manager saw it and emailed
me and told me it was nice. But he did not seem interested in buying. I was wondering Don is there an average of how many homeowners will buy these videos. 1 out of 10, 1 out of 3, or what? |

There's really no search engine advantage here. If they know the address, they probably know enough about the home that they won't need the video. Looks to me like it is simply a "novelty buy" for the seller. Not that there's anything wrong with making some bux selling a novelty ... not in the least. But really, if I am the homeowner and I want to sell, what does the video do for me? Not trying to poke holes in the plan - heck, you've got folks making money, and that's what counts. But really curious that there may be some value that I am just not seeing. |

Also, that's not all there is to selling a house... Think of the process that a buyer goes through when they're going to buy a home. First, they might find the house on a website, such as Zillow or Trulia, or some other website, or they may drive by the property and see the "For Sale" sign. Some will type in the address to find more information... The next step is that they have to be motivated enough to go to see the property. If they're not emotionally motivated to see the property, then it's highly unlikely that they're gonna buy it! I think this is where Don's idea can come in. I think this is probably what he was alluding to when he said in his post... "Photos are fine BUT.....they DON'T bring out the "Emotion" that a VIDEO with MUSIC can bring out."If the buyer is more emotionally attracted to the listing, then they are more likely to go see the property, and more likely to potentially buy. The more potential buyers you have, the better a price you'll probably get in the end, and the shorter a wait you'll have to make the sale at a price you're happy with. I also found Don's response to a similar question in another thread. He mentioned the use of QR codes, stickers and some other value-added items. Interesting how such a simple idea can lead to so many other paths of opportunity (and effort!). When I was reading last night, I thought about co-op mailings using the EDDM program from the USPS (Bob Ross) ... I guess there's lots of ways you can take this ... |

![]() FSBOs can use it, fsbo sites charge about 500 bux, and the commission is about half, so the 200k home sold via owner through a MLS listing would be about 6k saving seller 6k. Some states even less.
Less than one quarter of homes sold are UNseen, the walk through is where the emotion of place, the "feeling" of home occurs. IF an FSBO seller can get a walk through from a video with music, that's great, well done. Most sites allow their galleries to be viewed as slide shows, some with 360 degree tours, still, you need to get the looker to the house. All that being said, if you only spend a few minutes and can sell a video, it sounds like time well spent. Gordon Quote:
